FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PEMANFAATAN JURNAL ELEKTRONIK DI PERPUSTAKAAN UGM OLEH MAHASISWA SEKOLAH PASCASARJANA UGM

Perkembangan jurnal elektronik menjadi tren yang pesat bagi universitas di Indonesia saat ini. Fasilitas-fasilitas yang disediakan oleh database berisi beragam jenis jurnal ilmiah yang dapat mempengaruhi jumlah jurnal ilmiah yang terbaca (terakses). Universitas Gadjah Mada Yogyakarta (UGM) merupakan salah satu universitas terbesar dan tertua di Indonesia. UGM termasuk salah satu universitas yang paling banyak melanggan jurnal elektronik diantaranya 64 database jurnal dari 6 bidang keilmuwan seperti database jurnal elektronik EBSCO, PROQUEST, EMERALD dan lain-lain. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui faktor yang mempengaruhi pemanfaatan jurnal elektronik baik faktor penghambat dalam memanfaatkan jurnal elektronik maupun faktor pendorong pemanfaatan jurnal elektronik di Perpustakaan UGM oleh mahasiswa sekolah pascasarjana UGM. Adapun teori yang digunakan adalah teori Ron Weber dengan variabel penelitian sebagai berikut: System Quality, Information Quality, User Training, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Computer Self-Efficacy, Information System Use, Individual Impact dan Information System Satisfaction. Populasi dalam penelitian ini adalah Mahasiswa Sekolah Pascasarjana UGM dengan sample nya berjumlah 91 orang dan teknik pengambilan sample yang digunakan adalah random sampling. Teknik pengumpulan data dilakukan melalui kuisioner, studi pustaka dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini menyatakan bahwa faktor penghambat dalam memanfataan jurnal elektronik di Perpustakaan UGM oleh mahasiswa Sekolah Pascasarjana UGM adalah System Quality, Perceived Easy of Use, Computer Self-Efficacy. Faktor pendorong pemanfaatan jurnal elektronik di Perpustakaan UGM oleh mahasiswa Sekolah Pascasarjana UGM adalah, Information Quality, User Training, Perceived Usefulness, Information System Use, Individual Impact dan Information System Satisfaction.

The development of electronic journals has become a rapid trend for universities in Indonesia today. Facilities provided by the database contain various types of scientific journals that can affect the number of scientific journals that are read (accessed). Gadjah Mada University Yogyakarta (UGM) is one of th largest and oldest universities in Indonesia. UGM is one of the universities that most subscribe to electronic journals, including 64 journal databases from 6 scientific fields such as electronic journal databases EBSCO, PROQUEST, EMERALD, and others. This study aims to determine the factors affecting of the use of electronic journals, both the inhibiting factors of users in utilizing electronic journals and the factors driving the use of electronic journals in the UGM Library by UGM graduate school students. The theory used is Ron Weber's theory with the following research variables: System Quality, Information Quality, User Training, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Computer Self-Efficacy, Information System Use, Individual Impact and Information System Satisfaction. The population in this study were UGM Graduate School Students with a sample of 91 people and the sampling technique used was random sampling. Data collection techniques are carried out through questionnaires, literature studies and observations. The results of this study stated that the inhibiting factor of users in utilizing electronic journals in the UGM Library by UGM Graduate School students is a Quality System, Perceived Easy of Use, Computer Self-Efficacy. The driving factor for the use of electronic journals in the UGM Library by UGM Graduate School students is Information Quality, User Training, Perceived Usefulness, Information System Use, Individual Impact and Information System Satisfaction.
