Peran Aktivitas Pariwisata di Taman Nasional Komodo terhadap Pertumbuhan Ekonomi Wilayah Kabupaten Manggarai Barat

Kabupaten Manggarai Barat merupakan wilayah yang paling berdampak dari hadirnya Taman Nasional Komodo sebagai salah satu destinasi, dari tujuh keajaiban dunia. Wilayah ini menjadi satu-satunya pintu masuk bagi para wisatawan yang ingin mengunjungi obyek wisata tersebut. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengkaji peran aktivitas pariwisata di Taman Nasional Komodo terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi wilayah kabupaten Manggarai Barat dan mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi peran aktivitas pariwisata di Taman Nasional Komodo terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi wilayah kabupaten Manggarai Barat. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah metode studi kasus dengan model eksploratif. Pembahasan peran aktivitas pariwisata di Taman Nasional Komodo terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi wilayah Kabupaten Manggarai Barat dilakukan dengan cara menyimpulkan hasil wawancara yang dilakukan kepada setiap responden tentang pertanyaan penelitian. Pertumbuhan ekonomi dilihat dari peran pariwisata terhadap Pendapatan Asli Daerah, Pendapatan Domestik Regional bruto dan angka partisipasi angkatan kerja yang ada di Kabupaten Manggarai Barat. Kemudian, diidentifikasi faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh terhadap proses keterkaitan diantara kedua variabel melalui triangulasi data dari hasil wawancara. Hasil penelitian peran aktivitas pariwisata di Taman Nasional Komodo terhadap pertumbuhan ekonomi wilayah kabupaten manggarai Barat menunjukan bahwa kehadiran obyek wisata tersebut memberikan pengaruh terhadap munculnya obyek-obyek wisata baru, membuka lapangan pekerjaan dan mempengaruhi pertumbuhan sektor-sektor ekonomi lainnya. Secara keseluruhan peran obyek wisata tersebut telah mampu membantu wilayah Kabupaten Manggarai Barat di dalam meningkatkan perekonomian daerah. Adapun faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi terdiri dari : pengembangan kawasan wisata, kesiapan daerah, kepemilikan modal, sumber daya, karakteristik pariwisata, fungsi kontrol pemerintah, dan karakteristik masyarakat.

West Manggarai Regency is the area which mostly affected by the presence of Komodo National Park as one the destinations of 7 wonders of the world. This area becomes the only entrance for tourists who want to visit the tourism object. The aims of this research are to analyze the role of tourism activities in Komodo National Park towards the economic growth of West Manggarai Regency and to identify the factors that determine the role of tourism activities in National Komodo Part towards the economic growth of West Manggarai Regency. The method used in this research is case study method with explorative model. The discussion of the role of tourism activities in National Komodo Park on the economic growth of West Manggarai Regency is performed by concluding the results of the interview conducted to each respondent regarding the research questions. The economic growth is seen through the tourism role towards Locally-Generated Revenue, Gross Regional Domestic Product, and the participation number of labor force in West Manggarai Regency. Then, the determining factors towards the correlation process between two variables are identified through data triangulation from interview results. The research results of the role of tourism activities in Komodo National Park towards economic growth of West Manggarai Regency show that the presence of this tourism object provides contributions/influences on the emergence of new tourism objects, provides job opportunity, and influences the growth of the other economic sectors. In overall, the role of the tourism object has been able to facilitate West Manggarai Regency in improving the regional economic. The determining factors consist of the development of tourism area, regional preparedness, capital ownership, resources, tourism characteristics, the function control of government, and the characteristics of the community.
