PENGELOLAAN LINGKUNGAN DI DESA WISATA CANDIREJO BOROBUDUR BERDASARKAN INDIKATOR PELESTARIAN LINGKUNGAN GLOBAL SUSTAINABLE TOURISM COUNCIL (GSTC)

Indonesia merupakan negara dengan banyak potensi pariwisata dunia, yang tidak dimiliki oleh negara lain misalnya kebudayan, sejarah dan alam. Dewasa ini para wisatawan mulai menggemari tempat wisata yang tidak hanya sekedar menyajikan keindahan alamnya saja tetapi lebih kepada interaksi masyarakat. Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) dibuat untuk mendapatkan pemahaman tentang pariwisata berkelanjutan. Kriteria GSTC merupakan upaya minimum yang perlu dicapai oleh setiap destinasi pariwisata ketika mempertimbangkan keberlanjutan dalam praktik mereka. Penelitian ini berfokus pada salah satu indikator pelestarian lingkungan GSTC dalam pengelolaan Desa Wisata Candirejo di Kecamatan Borobudur, agar sejalan dengan konsep berkelanjutan sehingga dapat lebih optimal mengingat belum pernah diteliti apakah pengelolaan lingkungannya sudah sesuai dengan prinsip Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). Penelitian ini menggunakan metode deskriptif kualitatif dengan tujuan untuk mengkaji proses perkembangan desa wisata berbasis masyarakat sehingga menjadi GSTC sebagai salah satu objek wisata utama di Kecematan Borobudur. Mengidentifikasi apakah pengelolaan Desa Wisata Candirejo sudah sesuai dengan pelestarian lingkungan GSTC dan mengevaluasi strategi pengembangan Desa Wisata Candirejo dengan menggunakan indikator pelestarian lingkungan GSTC. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa evaluasi pengelolaan Desa Wisata Candirejo sejauh ini yang dilaksanakan sebagian besar tidak sesuai dengan indikator pariwisata berkelanjutan GSTC. Dari aspek pelestarian lingkungan menunjukkan bahwa perhatian terhadap Desa Wisata Candirejo belum optimal. Hal ini dikarenakan pihak Desa Candirejo kurang memperhatikan aspek pelestarian lingkungan. Berdasarkan analisis dengan kriteria pelestarian lingkungan GSTC maka Desa Wisata Candirejo secara keseluruhan masih buruk. Dari aspek pelestarian lingkungan GSTC tersebut dapat memberikan informasi untuk mengembangkan Desa Wisata Candirejo sehingga memenuhi persyaratan menjadi destinasi wisata yang berkelanjutan baik yang terkait langsung dengan atraksi, amenitas dan aksesibilitas.

Indonesia is a country with great potential in world tourism, which is not owned by other countries such as culture, history and nature. Nowaday, a tourist spot that presents the beauty of nature and the interaction with the community began to be liked by tourists. Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) has been created to gain an understanding of sustainable tourism. The GSTC criteria are the minimum efforts that each tourism destination needs to achieve when considering sustainability in their practice. This research focuses on one of the indicators of environmental conservation of GSTC in the management of Candirejo Tourism Village in Borobudur District, in line with the concept of sustainability so that it can more optimal. This happens because it has never been studied whether the environmental management is in accordance with the principle of Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC) or not. This research uses descriptive qualitative method with the aim to study the process of development of community-based tourist village to become GSTC as one of the main tourism object in Borobudur district. Identify whether the management of Candirejo Tourism Village is in accordance with the environmental conservation of GSTC and evaluate the development strategy of Candirejo Tourism Village by using the GSTC environmental preservation indicator. The results show that evaluation of Candirejo Tourism Village management shows to date has been carried out largely in accordance with the GSTC sustainable tourism indicators From the aspect of environmental preservation shows that the attention to Candirejo Tourism Village has not been optimal. This is because the Candirejo Village does not pay enough attention to environmental conservation aspects. Based on the analysis with GSTC environmental preservation criteria, the Candirejo Tourism Village as a whole is on average. From the aspect of environmental conservation of GSTC can provide information to develop Candirejo Tourism Village to meet the requirements of becoming a sustainable tourism destination whether directly related to attractions, facilities and accessibilities.
