PERAN SIBLING RELATIONSHIP DAN THEORY OF MIND TERHADAP AGRESIVITAS

Tujuan utama dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui sibling relationship dan theory of mind sebagai prediktor agresivitas remaja. Subjek penelitian berjumlah 125 siswa SMPN K kelas VII yang berusia 12-16 tahun. Metode yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah kuantitatif. Pengumpulan data menggunakan skala Agresivitas, skala Sibling Relationship dan skala Theory of Mind. Hasil menunjukkan bahwa ada hubungan negatif antara sibling relationship, theory of mind terhadap agresivitas. Berdasarkan analisis regresi berganda menunjukkan bahwa sibling relationship dan theory of mind memiliki peran terhadap agresivitas. Nilai Koefisien determinasi R square dari analisis tersebut sebesar 0,176 dan F = 13,059. Sibling relationship dan theory of mind memberikan sumbangan sebesar 17,6% terhadap agresivitas. Secara terpisah, sibling relationship memiliki sumbangan yang lebih besar dibanding theory of mind. Dengan demikian, dapat disimpulkan bahwa sibling relationship dan theory of mind dapat memprediksi agresivitas secara signifikan.

The purpose of this research was to study of sibling relationship and theory of mind as predictors adolescent's aggression. The subjects of this research were 125 students of SMPN K grade VII, the age of 12 to 16 years old. The method used in this research is quantitative method. This research was measured by using Aggression scale, Sibling Relationship scale, and Theory of Mind scale. The results indicated that there is a negative significant correlation between sibling relationship, theory of mind and aggression. Based on the multiple regression analysis, this research showed that the two variables can simultaneously become the predictors of aggression (R square = 0,176; F = 13,059). Sibling relationship and theory of mind contributed 17,6% to aggression. The effective contribution of sibling relationship is more significant than theory of mind. Thus, it can be concluded that sibling relationship and theory of mind can predict aggression in significant way.
