FAKTOR-FAKTOR YANG MEMPENGARUHI PEMANFAATAN E-JOURNAL BAGI MAHASISWA DI PERPUSTAKAAN UNIVERSITAS BRAWIJAYA

Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi dituntut dapat menyediakan layanan berbasis Teknologi Informasi bagi seluruh stakeholder serta memperkenalkan perpustakaan pada masyarakat nasional maupun internasional melalui karya ilmiah yang berkwalitas. Kebutuhan mahasiswa terhadap e-journal merupakan kebutuhan wajib yang harus disediakan oleh perpustakaan perguruan tinggi. Namun yang terjadi pemanfaatan e-journal bagi mahasiswa di perpustakaan Universitas Brawijaya belum maksimal dan belum sesuai harapan institusi karena masih banyak mahasiswa yang belum mengakses e-journal secara maksimal meskipun institusi sudah melakukan berbagai macam kegiatan bimbingan pengguna maupun sosialisasi pemanfaatan e-journal kepada mahasiswa. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui faktor apa saja yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa dalam memanfaatan e-journal di Perpustakaan Universitas Brawijaya menggunakan Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) yang telah dimodifikasi. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deduktif dengan pendekatan kuantitatif dengan metode penelitian survey dengan sampel sebanyak 100 mahasiswa. Pengujian hipotesis yang dirumuskan dalam penelitian ini menggunakan Partial Least Squares (PLS). Hasil dari penelitian ini adalah ada enam faktor yang mempengaruhi mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan e-journal yaitu kepercayaan-kepercayaan perilaku terhadap sikap, kepercayaan-kepercayaan normatif terhadap norma subyektif, bimbingan pengguna terhadap sikap, sikap terhadap niat, norma subyektif terhadap niat, niat terhadap perilaku aktual, meskipun bimbingan pengguna berpengaruh terhadap sikap namun bimbingan pengguna tidak berpengaruh terhadap niat mahasiswa dalam memanfaatkan e-journal. Perpustakaan Universitas Brawijaya belum berhasil dalam melakukan kegiatan bimbingan pengguna kepada mahasiswa. Hal ini yang menjadikan faktor pemanfaatan e-journal belum dapat dimaksimalkan sesuai harapan institusi.

College library is charged to provide Information Technology-based services for all stakeholder and introduces the library to the national society and also international through quality scientific work. College student requirement to e journal constitute mandatory requirement that shall be provided by college library. However, the use of e journal for college student in University Brawijaya library has not been maximal yet and not according to institutional expectations because there are still many college student who haven't accessed e journal maximally even though the institution has done various activities of user guidance and also socialization of e journal utilization to the college student. The purpose of this study is to determine what factor affect college student in utilizing e journal in University Brawijaya library using Theory of Reasoned Action (TRA) that has been modified. This research is a deductive research with quantitative approach with survey research method with a sample of 100 college students. Hypothesis testing formultes in this study using Partial Least Squares (PLS). The result of this research is there are six factors that influence college student in using e journal that is behavior belief toward attitude, normative belief toward subjective norm, user training to attitude, attitude toward intention, subjective norm to intention,intention toward actual behaviour, although the guidance of the user affects the attitude but the user���¢�¯�¿�½�¯�¿�½s guidance doesn���¢�¯�¿�½�¯�¿�½t affect the college student���¢�¯�¿�½�¯�¿�½s intention in utilizing e journal. University Brawijaya library has not succeeded in conducting user training to college student. This make the utilization of e-journal can not be maximized according to institutional expectations.
