Uji Aktivitas Antipiretik Kombinasi Ekstrak Phyllanthi herba, Sericocalysis folium, Mentha herba, dan Gypsum fibrosum Komposisi A pada Tikus Jantan Galur Wistar yang Diinduksi Demam dengan Khamir

Indonesia adalah negara yang kaya akan sumber pengobatan tradisional yang diwariskan secara turun temurun. Sebagai contoh, Phyllanthi herba digunakan sebagai penambah daya tahan tubuh, Mentha herba sebagai obat penurun panas, Sericocalysis folium sebagai obat antikonstipasi dan Gypsum fibrosum sebagai obat antipendarahan. Kombinasi keempatnya diharapkan mampu menjadi alternatif obat antipiretik. Namun, kombinasi keempatnya belum pernah diuji khasiatnya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji aktivitas antipiretik kombinasi tersebut dalam suatu komposisi tertentu. Uji antipiretik dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode pirogenistas. Hewan uji dibagi ke dalam 5 kelompok dengan masing-masing kelompok terdiri dari 5 ekor hewan uji dengan 3 peringkat dosis obat yaitu 16 mL/kg BB, 24 mL/kg BB dan 36 mL/kg BB dan 2 kelompok lain adalah kelompok kontrol negatif dan kontrol positif. Suhu badan hewan uji dinaikkan dengan memejankan secara subkutan injeksi khamir. Enambelas jam setelah diberi injeksi, suhu hewan uji diukur. Hewan uji mendapat perlakuan sesuai kelompok dan suhu badan diukur pada 1 jam, 2 jam, 3 jam, dan 4 jam setelah pemejanan. Penurunan suhu hewan uji kemudian diolah untuk mengetahui persen penurunan suhu masing-masing perlakuan dan kemudian diolah secara statistik menggunakan Kruskal-Wallis dan 2-independent sample test. Dari hasil penelitian ditarik kesimpulan bahwa dosis yang memiliki efek antipiretik paling baik dari kombinasi Phylanthi herba, Sericocalysis folium, Mentha herba, dan Gypsum fibrosum adalah dosis 16 mL/kg BB. Namun efek antipiretik pada dosis tersebut masih lebih rendah dari daya antipiretik paracetamol sebagai obat standar.

Indonesia has so many various traditional medicine sources heired for generations. As example, Phyllanthi herba used as immunodulator agent, Mentha herba used as antipyretic agent, Sericocalysis folium used as anticonstipation agent, and Gypsum fibrosum used as antibleeding agent. Combination of these 4 agents considered to be an alternative medication for antipyretic. But, this combination has ben never tested yet. This research aims to test antipyretic activity of this combination. Antipyretic test was held by pirogenity method. Rats were divided in to 5 groups, each group consisted of 5 rats. One group as positive control, one group as negative control, and 3 others as sample group (16 mL/kg , 24 mL/kg , dan 36 mL/kg ). Khamir brewer suspension was given subcutanly in order to increase rats� temperature. Sixteen hours later the rats� temperature was measured. Then rats would be treated as their group and the rats� temperature would be measured again in 1, 2, 3, and 4 hours later. The fluctuation of rats� temperature was processed to know the percentage of their temperature reduction. After that, the data would be processed statistically. The result of this research was combination of Phyllanthi herba, Sericocalysis folium, Mentha herba, and Gypsum fibrosum has biggest antipyretic activity with dosage 16 mL/kg. But the antipyretic activity of this combination was stlill lower than paracetamol.
