PERSEPSI SISWA SMA NEGERI DI KOTA YOGYAKARTA TERHADAP JENIS POHON BERNILAI FILOSOFI PADA SUMBU FILOSOFI YOGYAKARTA

Sumbu filosofi Yogyakarta merupakan warisan budaya membentuk bentang garis lurus antara Tugu Pal Putih, Keraton Yogyakarta, dan Panggung Krapyak. Sumbu filosofi merupakan salah satu keistimewaan Yogyakarta baik dari keunikan jalannya yang lurus, bangunan, vegetasi maupun nama jalan yang memiliki makna filosofi. Namun saat ini masyarakat Yogyakarta nampaknya jarang mengetahui keistimewaan sumbu filosofi khususnya pada jenis pohon bernilai filosofi. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui persepsi dan pengetahuan siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta tentang jenis pohon bernilai filosofi pada sumbu filosofi Yogyakarta. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian deskriptif. Metode penelitian menggunakan kuesioner yang dibagikan kepada siswa SMA Negeri di Kota Yogyakarta. Pengambilan sampel menggunakan Quota sampling dengan menetapkan kuota sebanyak 20 siswa dengan syarat kelas XI yang memasuki umur 17 tahun ke atas dan merupakan warga asli Yogyakarta. Total sampel yang diambil yaitu 220 siswa. Namun terdapat sampel yang tidak valid sehingga yang digunakan hanya 195 siswa. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa sebanyak 8,72% siswa mengetahui jenis pohon bernilai filosofi minimal 1 jenis pohon beserta maknanya, sebanyak 20,51% siswa mengetahui jenis pohon bernilai filosofi minimal 1 jenis pohon namun tidak mengetahui maknanya dan sebanyak 70,77% siswa tidak mengetahui jenis pohon bernilai filosofi serta maknanya. Dari seluruh responden masih belum terdapat jawaban secara keseluruhan dengan benar. Hal tersebut dikarenakan pengetahuan siswa yang sangat minim terhadap istilah sumbu filosofi, bangunan dan tempat bersejarah dan pengetahuan jenis-jenis pohon serta filosofinya.

The philosophy axis of Yogyakarta is a cultural heritage forming a straight line fromPal Putih monument, Yogyakarta Palace, and Krapyak stage. The philosophy axis is one of the special features of Yogyakarta from the uniqueness of its straight path, the building, the vegetation and the name of the road that have philosophical meanings. But today, the people of Yogyakarta seem to rarely know the privileges of the philosophy axis, especially on the type of philosophy-valued trees. This study aims to determine the perceptions and knowledge of the high school students in the city of Yogyakarta about the type of philosophy-valued trees on the philosophy axis of Yogyakarta. This research is a descriptive research. The research method used questionnaires distributed to high school students in Yogyakarta City. The researcher used Quota sampling by setting the quota of 20 students with the provision such as from grade 9, age starts from 17 years and above, and native of Yogyakarta. The total sample is 220 students. But, the researcher found invalid samples so thatfinally it was determined to use only 195 students. The results shows that 8.72% of students know the type of trees with a philosophy value of at least 1 species of trees along with their meanings, 20.51% of students know the type of trees with a philosophy value of at least 1 species of trees but do not know the meaning and 70.77% of students do not know the philosophy-valued tree species and their meanings. Out of all respondents, the researcher found no overall correct answer. These are all due to the very minimal understanding of the students to the terms ofphilosophy axis, buildings and historical places and knowledge of tree species and their philosophy meanings.
