Hutan rakyat merupakan hutan tanaman yang dikelola oleh masyarakat di atas lahan miliknya. Masyarakat masih bergantung pada hutan rakyat dalam pemenuhan kebutuhan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kontribusi hutan rakyat terhadap pendapatan masyarakat desa hutan. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Desa Banjararum, Kecamatan Kalibawang, Kabupaten Kulonprogo pada bulan September 2017 hingga bulan Juli 2018, mengunakan metode survei. Data yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah data primer yang diperoleh langsung dari hasil wawancara dengan masyarakat mengunakan kuisioner dan data sekunder diperoleh dari instansi pemerintah. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian pengelompokkan pendapatan masyarakat dibagi menjadi tiga yaitu pendapatan dari lahan, pendapatan dari non lahan dan pendapatan dari sumber lain. Kontribusi hutan rakyat terhadap pendapatan masyarakat berasal dari pendapatan lahan. Rata-rata pendapatan masyarakat adalah Rp. 11.215.843,00/kk/th (41%). Kontribusi terbesar diperoleh dari pendapatan non lahan sebesar Rp. 5.722.387,00/kk/th (51%). Pendapatan berdasarkan strata luas lahan, pada strata I kontribusi hutan rakyat sebesar Rp. 12.604.333,00/kk/th (56%), strata II sebesar Rp. 6.130.222,00/kk/th (27%) dan strata III sebesar Rp. 3.940.485,00/kk/th (17%). Semakin kecil luas lahan yang dimiliki semakin kecil kontribusi hutan rakyat terhadap pendapatan masyarakat.

The community forest is plants forest which is managed by community on their own piece ol land. People can still dependent on community forest to fulfillment their needs. The purpose of this research are to know the contribution of community for villagers income. The research was conducted in Banjararum village, Kalibawang District, Kulon Progo Regency from September 2017 until July 2018, with the use of survey as method. The data used in this research are primary data obtainable from the community based on interview result through questioner and secondary data acquired from government. Based on the result of the research, the grouping of people's income is divided into three viz income from land, income non-land, and income from the other. The contribution of community forest for villagers income from land income. the average income of the people is Rp. 11.215.843,00/kk/yr (41%). The largest contribution was obtained from non-land revenues of Rp. 5.722.387,00/kk/yr (51%). Revenue based on strata of land, on the strata I contribution of community forest of Rp. 12.604.333,00/kk/yr (56%), strata II Rp. 6.130.222,00/kk/yr (27%) and strata III Rp. 3.940.485,00/kk/yr (17%). The smaller the area of land the smaller the contribution of community forest to the income of the community.
