PERANCANGAN SISTEM PROTEKSI PETIR EKSTERNAL DENGAN PEMASANGAN GROUND STEEL WIRE JENIS ELEKTROSTATIS PADA JARINGAN SUTM 20 KV DI PT. PLN (PERSERO) RAYON DELANGGU

Salah satu gangguan yang sering terjadi pada saluran udara tegangan menengah adalah berupa sambaran petir. Efek yang ditimbulkan akibat sambaran petir adalah berupa surja petir atau tegangan berlebih. Surja petir merupakan tegangan berlebih yang dihasilkan oleh sambaran petir. Intensitas petir yang sangat tinggi di Rayon Delanggu, yakni dengan nilai sambaran petir ke tanah sebesar 4.56 /km²/Tahun merupakan acaman serius bagi jaringan SUTM 20kV milik PT.PLN (Persero) Rayon Delanggu. Menyadari kondisi tersebut, perlu dirancang sistem proteksi petir yang handal agar tidak menggangu proses distribusi tenaga listrik di Rayon Delanggu. Peningkatan performa sistem terhadap gangguan akibat petir dapat dilakukan dengan pemasangan GSW (Ground Steel Wire) diatas jaringan SUTM. Pemasangan GSW diharapkan mampu mengurangi probabilitas terjadinya surja petir akibat sambaran petir.

One of the most common disturbances in medium voltage airways is the lightning strike. The effects caused by lightning strikes are in the form of lightning surge or excess tension. Lightning surge is the excess voltage generated by lightning strikes. The very high intensity of lightning in Rayon Delanggu, with the value of lightning strikes to the ground of 4.56 / km² / Year is a serious threat to SUTM 20kV network owned by PT.PLN (Persero) Rayon Delanggu. Recognizing these conditions, it is necessary to design a reliable lightning protection system so as not to disrupt the power distribution process at Rayon Delanggu Improved system performance against lightning disturbance can be done by installing GSW (Ground Steel Wire) over SUTM netwrok. Installation of GSW is expected to reduce the probabilityof lightning surge caused by lightning strikes.
