Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk (1) mengetahui kinerja keuangan KUD di Kabupaten Madiun, (2) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi sisa hasil usaha, (3) mengetahui tingkat efisiensi KUD di Kabupaten Madiun dan (4) mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi tingkat efisiensi. Kinerja keuangan diukur menggunakan analisis rasio keuangan, tingkat efisiensi diukur menggunakan Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), dan analisis regresi berganda digunakan untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi sisa hasil usaha dan tingkat efisiensi KUD di Kabupaten Madiun. Sebanyak 16 KUD dijadikan sampel penelitian dengan data yang digunakan pada masing-masing KUD meliputi data tahun 2015 hingga 2017. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa likuiditas, solvabilitas dan profitabilitas didominasi oleh KUD dengan kriteria kurang sehat, tidak sehat ataupun sangat tidak sehat. Faktor - faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap sisa hasil usaha adalah jumlah anggota dan jumlah volume usaha. Sementara itu, dari sisi tingkat efisiensi menunjukkan bahwa sebagian besar (>50%) Koperasi Unit Desa (KUD) di Kabupaten Madiun belum efisien. Faktor-faktor yang berpengaruh signifikan terhadap tingkat efisiensi KUD di Kabupaten Madiun adalah usia ketua pengurus, pendidikan ketua pengawas, pengalaman ketua pengawas dan pengalaman manajer. Lebih lanjut lagi, hasil penelitian menemukan bahwa adanya korelasi positif yang tinggi antara kinerja keuangan (NPM) dengan tingkat efisiensi KUD di Kabupaten Madiun.

This study aims to (1) determinate the financial performance of KUD in Madiun Regency, (2) determinate the factors that influence profit of KUD, (3) determinate the efficiency level of KUD in Madiun Regency and (4) determinate the factors that influence the efficiency level. Financial performance was measured using financial ratio analysis, the efficiency level was measured by employing Data Envelopment Analysis (DEA), and multiple regression analysis was used to find out the factors influencing the profit and efficiency level of KUD in Madiun Regency. Total of 16 KUD's were used as research samples with data used in each KUD covering data from 2015 to 2017. The results showed that liquidity, solvency and profitability were dominated by KUD with unhealthy, unhealthy or very unhealthy criteria. Factors that have significant effect on the profit are the number of members and the total business volume. Meanwhile, in terms of efficiency level shows that most (>50%) Village Unit Co-operative (KUD) in Madiun Regency is inefficient. Factors that significantly influence the efficiency level of KUD in Madiun Regency are the age of director, the supervisory's education, the supervisory's experience and the manager's experience. Furthermore, the results of the study found that there is a high positive correlation between financial performance (NPM) and the efficiency level of KUD in Madiun Regency.
