PEMERTAHANAN TANAH AIR PADA PUISI QASIDATU AL-ARDI DALAM ANTOLOGI AL-AMALU AL-KAMILATU KARYA MAHMUD DARWISY: ANALISIS SEMIOTIK

Penelitian ini memuat analisis puisi karya Mahmud Darwisy, penyair berkebangsaan Palestina, yang berjudul Qasidatu Al-Ardi dalam antologi Al-Amalu Al-Kamilatu. Dalam puisi tersebut terdapat tanda-tanda yang harus diungkap agar puisi dapat dipahami maknanya dengan baik. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengungkap makna-makna yang terkandung dalam puisi Qasidatu Al-Ardi dengan menggunakan teori semiotik. Semiotik adalah ilmu tentang tanda-tanda yang kemudian ditentukan konvensi-konvensinya sehingga tanda-tanda tersebut memiliki makna. Metode yang digunakan adalah metode semiotik Michael Riffaterre, yaitu ketidaklangsungan ekspresi dan pembacaan semiotik yang terdiri dari pembacaan heuristik dan pembacaan hermeneutik. Hasil dari analisis puisi ini mengungkapkan perjuangan rakyat Palestina dalam mempertahankan tanah Palestina. Setelah berdirinya negara Israel di tanah Palestina pada tanggal 14 Mei 1948, Israel tidak henti-hentinya melakukan pembantaian secara besar-besaran, perebutan wilayah Palestina secara paksa, pendirian pagar-pagar di wilayah perbatasan antara Palestina dan Israel, dan juga larangan berkeliling bagi rakyat Palestina. Meskipun demikian, dalam kondisi tersebut rakyat Palestina tetap berjuang untuk mempertahankan wilayah mereka dari pendudukan Israel. Salah satu perjuangan rakyat Palestina yang diungkap dalam puisi ini adalah perjuangan rakyat Palestina dalam peristiwa demonstrasi massal pada bulan Maret 1976. Peristiwa itu terjadi akibat adanya pengumuman dari pemerintah Israel tentang rencana penyitaan ribuan tanah di Palestina. Tujuan dari penyitaan tersebut adalah Israel ingin menduduki seluruh tanah Palestina. Peristiwa itu mengakibatkan kematian enam orang warga Palestina dan ratusan orang lainnya terluka.

This research contains an analysis of poetry by Mahmud Darwisy, a Palestinian poet, entitled Qasidatu Al-Ardi from anthology Al-Amalu Al-Kamilatu. In this poetry there are signs that must be revealed in order that poetry can be understood well. The purpose of this research is to reveal the meanings contained in the poetry Qasidatu Al-Ardi by using semiotic theory. Semiotic is the study of signs which are then determined by their conventions so that they have their own meanings. The method used is the semiotic method of Michael Riffaterre, namely indirect expression observation and semiotic readings that consist of heuristic and hermeneutic readings. The results of this poetry analysis reveal the struggle done by the Palestinian people in defending the land of Palestine. After the establishment of the Israel state in the land of Palestine on May 14, 1948, Israel ceaselessly did such tremendous slaughter, the seizure of Palestinian territory by force, the establishment of fences in the border region between Palestine and Israel, as well as the prohibition of going out for Palestinian people. Nevertheless, within that terrible condition the Palestinian people continue to fight as the effort to defend their territory from the Israeli occupation. One of the struggles under taken by the Palestinian people expressed in this poetry was the struggle of the Palestinian people in the mass demonstration event on March 1976. The incident occurred due to the announcement of the Israeli government about the plan of seizure thousands of land in Palestine. The purpose of that seizure is Israel wants to occupy all the land of Palestine. The incident resulted in deaths of six Palestinians and hundreds of others injured.
