Gula semut kelapa merupakan salah satu produk ekspor unggulan Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui (1) bersarnya marjin pemasaran, farmer's share, dan monopoli indeks (MPI) dan (2) kinerja rantai pasok gula semut di Kecamatan Kokap Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Marjin pemasaran adalah selisih harga di tingkat konsumen terakhir dengan harga di tingkat produsen. Farmer's share adalah persentase besarnya harga yang diterima pengrajin. Semakin tinggi nilai marjin pemasaran maka nilai farmer's share akan semakin rendah. Struktur pasar dianalisis dengan mengukur monopoli indek (MPI). Nilai MPI semakin besar menunjukkan semakin monopoli. Rantai pasok merupakan kerjasama antar lembaga untuk menciptakan dan mengantarkan produk sampai ke konsumen akhir dengan memperhatikan aliran produk, aliran informasi dan aliran uang. Kinerja rantai pasok dapat dianalisis kelancarannya menggunakan metode kuesioner skala Likert pada aliran produk, aliran informasi, dan aliran uang. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan saluran terpendek memiliki nilai marjin terendah dan nilai farmer's share tertinggi. Nilai MPI tertinggi terdapat pada saluran panjang dengan CPU Tiwi Manunggal sebagai pedagang pengepul yang paling tinggi indeks monopolinya. Kinerja rantai pasok gula semut di Kecamatan Kokap Kabupaten Kulon Progo secara keseluruhan tergolong cukup lancar pada ketiga saluran pemasaran pada produk berbahan baku dominan gula cetak, nira kelapa maupun secara keseluruhan.

Granulated coconut palm sugar is one of potential export product in Kulon Progo Regency. This study aims to determine (1) the level of marketing margin, farmer's share dan monopoly indeks (MPI) and (2) the performance of supply chain for granulated coconut palm sugar in Kulon Progo Regency. Marketing margin is the difference price in consument with price at the level of producers. Farmer's share is the percentage of share that producers get. The higher value of the marketing margin then the value of the farmer's share will be lower. The structure of the market is analyzed by measuring the monopoly index (MPI). The greater the MPI values indicate a growing monopoly. Supply chain is the cooperation between the institutions to create and deliver products to consumers until the end by observing the flow of products, the flow of information and the flow of money. Supply chain performance can be analyzed by using Likert scale questionnaire method on the product flow, flow of information, and the flow of money. The results showed the shortest marketing tract has the lowest margin value and the value of farmer's share is highest. The highest MPI values contained on the longest marketing tract with Tiwi CPU as collecting traders have highest index of a monopoly. The performance of supply chain of granulated palm sugar in district Kokap, Kulon Progo Regency overall belongs to quite smoothly on all three channels of marketing whether made from dominant raw material solid coconut sugar, made from sweet sap coconut sugar or both.
