Peran Ketua Kelompok Tani pada Penerapan Teknologi Budidaya Kakao di Kecamatan Patuk Kabupaten Gunungkidul

Penelitian yang berjudul Peran Ketua Kelompok Tani pada Penerapan Teknologi Budidaya Kakao di Kecamatan Patuk Kabupaten Gunungkidul bertujuan untuk mengetahui peran ketua kelompok tani dalam penerapan teknologi budidaya kakao dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan teknologi budidaya kakao di Kecamatan Patuk, Kabupaten Gunungkidul. Metode dasar penelitian adalah deskriptif dengan teknik survei. Pengambilan sampel kecamatan dilakukan secara purposif, sedangkan sampel desa dan sampel responden diambil secara simple random sampling. Sampel kecamatan penelitian adalah Kecamatan Patuk dan sampel desa penelitian meliputi Desa Bunder, Desa Nglanggeran, Desa Ngoro-Oro, dan Desa Salam. Dari masing-masing desa diambil 15 sampel anggota kelompok tani sehingga total sampel terdapat 60 sampel. Metode analisis data adalah uji proporsi dan uji analisis regresi linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa peran ketua kelompok tani termasuk dalam kategori tinggi. Kualitas diri ketua kelompok tani berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap peran ketua kelompok tani sedangkan umur dan tingkat pendidikan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap peran ketua kelompok tani. Sikap petani dan keaktifan petani dalam penyuluhan berpengaruh signifikan dan positif terhadap penerapan teknologi budidaya kakao sedangkan umur, tingkat pendidikan, kualitas diri ketua kelompok tani, motivasi petani, keaktifan petani dalam penyuluhan dan luas lahan tidak berpengaruh signifikan terhadap penerapan teknologi budidaya kakao.

In this research entittled Role of Farmers Group Leader in Application of Cocoa Cultivation Technology at Patuk Subdistrict Gunungkidul Regency. The purpose of this research is to find out the role of farmers group leader in application of cocoa cultivation technology and the influencing factors, and to find out the factors that influence the cocoa cultivation technology application at Patuk Subdistrict, Gunungkidul Regency. The basic method used in this reasearch is descriptive with survey technique. Subdistrict sampled with purposive sampling method, while the sample of village and respondents were sampled with simple random sampling. The selected subdistrict is Patuk Subdistrict and the sample of villages are Bunder Village, Nglanggeran Village, Ngoro-Oro Village, and Salam Village. From each village, 15 samples of farmer group members were collected so the total of sample was 60 samples. This resesarch using proportion test and multiple linier regression analysis. The results showed that the role of farmer group leader are in the high category. Individual�s farmers group leader quality has a significant and positive influence on the role of the farmers group leader, while age and education level have no significant effect on the role of the farmers group leader. Farmers attitude and the livelihood of farmers in the counseling have a significant and positive impact on the application of cocoa cultivation technology, while the age, education level, quality of individual�s farmers group leader, farmer�s motivation, the liveliness of the farmers in the extension and land area have no significant effect on the application of cocoa cultivation technology.
