PENYALAHGUNAAN ANABOLIC ANDROGENIC STEROID (AAS) DALAM PERSPEKTIF FILSAFAT HASRAT JACQUES LACAN

Latar belakang penelitian ini dipicu oleh dua hal, pertama, merebaknya penggunaan AAS yang memiliki banyak bahaya pada tubuh, kedua, terdapatnya keganjilan dalam motivasi para pengguna AAS, yakni di satu sisi, para pengguna mengetahui bahwa AAS berbahaya, di sisi lain, mereka tetap mengkonsumsinya. Dengan kata lain, penelitian ini ingin mengetahui mengapa seseorang lebih memilih pilihan yang lebih bersiko dan menjelaskan penyalahgunaan anabolic androgenic steroid (AAS) dalam perspektif filsafat hasrat Lacanian. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian filsafat tentang kasus aktual. Objek material penelitian ini adalah penyalahgunaan AAS, dan objek formal penelitian adalah filsafat hasrat Jacques Lacan. Penelitian ini berjalan dengan empat tahap, yakni inventarisasi, klasifikasi, analisis, dan evaluasi kritis. Analisis data dilakukan dengan menggunakan empat unsur metodis, interpretasi, kesinambungan historis, holistika, dan heuristik. Hasil penelitian ini adalah sebagai berikut. Pertama, gerak hasrat dalam psikoanalisis lacanian bertumpu pada dua poin utama, yakni represi yang-lain sebagai sumber identifikasi diri, dan pertemuan antara jouissance, dorongan kematian, dan kekurangan yang-lain dalam memberikan energi secara tak sadar untuk objek penyebab hasrat (objek a kecil). Kedua, AAS adalah testosteron sintesis yang secara umum penggunannya secara ilegal dimotivasi oleh alasan peningkatan performa fisik, kewaspadaan terhadap kejahatan, kepercayaan diri, serta problem narsistik dan uji nyali. Selain itu, faktor kombinasi rezim kesehatan dan budaya konsumsi yang mementingkan tubuh ideal, serta situasi dalam gym, juga menyumbang sebagai faktor tidak langsung. Ketiga, penggunaan AAS, dalam kosakata psikoanalisis, adalah usaha subjek untuk mengikuti hasratnya menjadi objek hasrat bagi yang-lain. Kontradiksi diri dan memilih pilihan beresiko didorong oleh karakter dasar jouissance dan objek penyebab hasrat yang tidak pernah terpuaskan.

The research aims to explain anabolic androgenic steroid abuse in the perspective of Lacans philosophy of desire. The background of the research is triggered by two factor, firstly, the eminent of AAS use having numerous problems for body, secondly, the uncanny in the AAS user motivations, namely, on the one hand, the users understand the risk behind the AAS, on the other hand, they nevertheless consume it. To put it another way, the research tries to grasp for which one tends to choose riskier choice. The research employs actual case model of philosophical research. The subject matter of the research is AAS abuse, and the perspective of the research is Lacans philosophy of desire. The research has four steps which are inventorying, classification, analysing, and critical evaluation. For data analysing needs, the research applies four element methods, interpretation, historical continuity, holistics, and heuristic. The results of the research are following: firstly, desire movement in lacanian psychoanalysis relies on two factors, namely the others repression as the source of self-identification, and the encountering among jouissance, death drive, the others lack in conferring unconscious energy for object cause of desire (object petit a). Secondly, AAS is a synthetic testosterone which its illegal use is commonly motivated by the one of these reasons: enhancing physical performance, alertness of crime, self-esteem, narsitic problem, and high-risk behavior. In addition, the combination between medical reign and consumption culture prioritizing ideal body, and the gyms situation, contribute as indirect factor. Thirdly, the AAS use, in psychoanalysis vocabularies, is a subjects effort to follow his desire to be the object of the others object of desire. Furthermore, the self-contradiction and risk choice are driven by the character of jouissance and the never unsatisfied object cause of desire.
