Proses penyewaan yang ada di Joni's Transport saat ini masih menggunakan sistem manual melalui pencatatan pada buku dan bertatap muka secara langsung. Apabila ingin menyewa mobil, penyewa harus datang langsung ke kantor Joni's Transport untuk memperoleh informasi terkait ketersediaan mobil, paket sewa, dan harga mobil. Setelah mendapatkan informasi terkait hal-hal tersebut, proses penyewaan pun berlangsung. Status penyewa mobil akan dinyatakan valid setelah penyewa membayar uang muka. Perbedaan jarak para penyewa mobil dengan kantor Joni�s Transport membuat sistem manual terasa tidak efisien dari segi waktu, biaya, dan tenaga. Berdasarkan masalah tersebut, penulis membuat sistem informasi rental mobil berbasis web Joni�s Transport untuk meminimalisir permasalahan jarak dan memudahkan proses penyewaan mobil. Dalam pengolahan basis data, sistem ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP dan dibantu dengan framework CodeIgniter, javascript dengan framework Jquery, webserver Apache, dan MySQL. Sistem informasi rental mobil berbasis web ini dibuat agar proses penyewaan mobil di Joni's Transport dapat lebih efektif dan mudah karena dapat dilakukan secara online dengan memanfaatkan jaringan internet yang telah berkembang pesat. Kesimpulan dari sistem informasi rental mobil ini adalah seluruh responden (100%) menyatakan merasa lebih terbantu dengan adanya sistem informasi ini dan sebagian besar responden (80%) menyatakan bahwa sistem ini sangatlah bagus. Meskipun demikian, sistem rental mobil berbasis web yang telah dibangun perlu diberikan beberapa fitur tambahan seperti perpanjangan sewa mobil, pembayaran otomatis Paypal, dan GPS agar dapat melacak posisi mobil yang disewa.

The rental process at Joni's Transport is still using the manual system through bookkeeping and face-to-face meetings. If the renter wants to rent a car, they need to come directly to Joni's Transport office to obtain information regarding the availability of the cars, rental packages, and car prices. After getting information related to these matters, the rental process also took place. The status of the renter will be valid after the renter pays the down payment. The difference in the distance of the renters with Joni's Transport office makes the manual system feels inefficient in terms of time, cost, and energy. Based on these problems, the author made a rental information system based on Joni's Transport web to minimize the problem and facilitate the process of car rental. In database processing, this system was built using PHP programming language and assisted with Code Igniter framework, javascript with Jquery framework, Apache web server, and MySQL. This car rental information system was made so that the car rental process in Joni's Transport can be more effective and easy because it can be done online by utilizing the Internet network that has grown rapidly. The conclusion of this car rental information system is that all respondents (100%) stated they feel helpful with the existence of this information system and most of the respondents (80%) stated that this system is very good. However, the built-in web car rental system needs to be provided with additional features such as car rental renewal, Paypal auto payments, and GPS in order to track the position of the rent car.
