KAJIAN SUSEPTIBILITAS PADA MAGNETIC NANOPARTICLES (MNPs) COBALT ZINC FERRITE (Co0,5Zn0,5Fe2O4) YANG DIENKAPSULASI DENGAN POLYETHYLENE GLYCOL (PEG-4000)

2018 | Skripsi | S1 FISIKANanopartikel magnetik Co0,5Zn0,5Fe2O4 telah berhasil disintesis menggunakan metode kopresipitasi dan dienkapsulasi Polyethylene Glycol (PEG-4000) dengan berbagai konsentrasi. Hasil karakterisasi X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) menunjukkan adanya fasa kubik spinel ferrite pada nanopartikel magnetik Co0,5Zn0,5Fe2O4 dengan ukuran kristalit 6,51±0,01 nm. Setelah dilakukan enkapsulasi PEG-4000 terjadi penurunan ukuran kristalit menjadi 6,03±0,01 nm dan 5,52±0,01 nm untuk konsentrasi 0,5 gram dan 1,5 gram. Hasil Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) menunjukkan nanopartikel masih mengalami aglomerasi setelah dienkapsulasi PEG-4000. Pengukuran suseptibilitas nanopartikel magnetik Co0,5Zn0,5Fe2O4 yang dienkapsulasi PEG-4000 dilakukan dengan metode Guoy dengan konsentrasi 0 gram, 0,5 gram, 1 gram, 1,5 gram, 2 gram, dan 2,5 gram. Berdasarkan hasil pengukuran, diperoleh nilai suseptibilitas berturut-turut (1,8±0,1)x10-4 m3/kg, (1,2±0,1)x10-4 m3/kg, (1,1±0,1)x10-4 m3/kg, (7,5±0,5)x10-5 m3/kg, (7,1±0,8)x10-5 m3/kg, dan (6,9±0,8)x10-5 m3/kg. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa enkapsulasi PEG-4000 mempengaruhi nilai suseptibilitas Co0,5Zn0,5Fe2O4. Semakin besar konsentrasi PEG-4000, nilai suseptibilitas Co0,5Zn0,5Fe2O4 semakin kecil.
Cobalt Zinc Ferrite (Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4) magnetic nanoparticles has been successfully synthesized using coprecipitation method and encapsulated by Polyethylene Glycol (PEG-4000) with various concentrations. X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) patterns showed that there are cubic spinel ferrite phase of magnetic nanoparticles Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 with crystallites size of 6.51±0.01 nm. The crystallites size decrease after PEG-4000 encapsulation became 6.03±0.01 nm and 5.52±0.01 nm for concentration 0.5 gram and 1.5 gram. Transmission Electron Microscopy (TEM) image showed that the nanoparticles also agglomeration after PEG-4000 encapsulation. Susceptibility of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 magnetic nanoparticles encapsulated by PEG-4000 have been analyzed using Guoy method with concentration 0 gram, 0.5 gram, 1 gram, 1.5 gram, 2 gram, dan 2.5 gram. The result of susceptibility on concentration of encapsulated PEG-4000 are (1.8±0.1)x10-4 m3/kg, (1.2±0.1)x10-4 m3/kg, (1.1±0.1)x10-4 m3/kg, (7.5±0.5)x10-5 m3/kg, (7.1±0.8)x10-5 m3/kg, and (6.9±0.8)x10-5 m3/kg. The susceptibility values of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4, are affected by PEG-4000 encapsulated concentration. The increasing of PEG-4000 concentration which had been given, make the value of susceptibility of Co0.5Zn0.5Fe2O4 became decrease.
