ARGUMENTASI METAFISIS DALAM TEORI MULTIVERSE DAN KONSEKUENSINYA TERHADAP PEMAHAMAN KOSMOLOGI ATAS REALITAS

Multiverse pada beberapa dekade terakhir menjadi suatu bahasan yang cukup menarik bagi fisikawan saat ini. Multiverse berusaha untuk menggambarkan realitas world yang lebih tepat dibandingan dengan teori yang berlaku saat ini. Pembicaraan mengenai realitas, tidak lepas dengan bidang metafisika yang berusaha untuk mencari realitas segala sesuatu. Penggunaan sudut pandang metafisika ilmu dirasa cukup sesuai untuk menelusuri lebih lanjut bagaimana pandangan multiverse yang berusaha untuk menjelaskan realitas world tersebut. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian filsafat mengenai teori ilmiah dengan objek kajian yang bersumber dari studi pustaka. Penelitian ini menggunakan beberapa buku yang membahas multiverse dan metafisika ilmu. Penelitian ini dilakukan melalui beberapa tahapan, yaitu: interpretasi data, klasifikasi data, analisis data, dan melakukan refleksi kritis serta mengembangkan kembali secara sistematis untuk mendapatkan wawasan baru tentang konsep multiverse dalam metafisika ilmu. Multiverse memberikan gambaran mengenai realitas bahwa terdapat universe lain yang berada diluar sana. Dalam konsep multiverse ini, terdapat empat tipe multiverse yang berbeda, yaitu tipe I-IV. Keempat tipe tersebut mempunyai kriteria yang berbeda dalam menggambarkan multiverse. Berbicara mengenai realitas, maka kita tidak dapat lepas dengan pembahasan metafisika, khususnya metafisika ilmu. Terdapat banyak sudut pandang dalam metafisika ilmu dalam usaha untuk menjelaskan realitas dengan ilmu sebagai perantaranya. Metafisika berusaha untuk menyelidiki lebih dalam bagaimana multiverse menjelaskan realitas yang ada. Penyelidikan metafisika ilmu terhadap multiverse, menemukan berbagai masalah yang menghambat konsep tersebut menjadi suatu teori yang kuat. Permasalahan yang mucul adalah mengenai verifikasi, konsep ketakterbatasan, dan beberapa konsep lainnya. Permasalahan verifikasi tampaknya dapat diselesaikan dengan menggunakan eksperimen pikiran, yang tidak memerlukan “bukti langsung”. Konsep multiverse ini perlu diakui masih dalam bentuk suatu wacana teoritis dalam komunitas ilmiah dan masih terus berkembang hingga saat ini.

Multiverse over the last few decades has become an interesting subject for today's physicists. Multiverse seeks to depict the reality of the world more precisely in comparison with current theories. Discussion of reality, not apart from the field of metaphysics that seeks to seek the reality of everything. The use of the metaphysic of science poit of view is considered appropriate to further explore how the multiverse view seeks to explain the reality of the world. This research is a philosophy research about scientific theory with object of study which sourced from literature study. This study uses several books that discuss multiverse and metaphysics of science. This research is done through several stages: data interpretation, data classification, data analysis, and critical reflection and systematic development to gain new insight about multiverse concept in science metaphysics. Multiverse gives an idea of the reality that there are other universes that are out there. In the concept of multiverse, there are four different types of multiverse, namely type I-IV. The four types have different criteria in describing multiverse. Speaking of reality, then we can not escape with the discussion of metaphysics, especially the metaphysics of science. There are many points of view in the metaphysics of science in an attempt to explain reality with science as its intermediary. Metaphysics seeks to delve deeper into how multiverse explains the existing reality. The metaphysical investigation of science on multiverse, finds various problems that hamper the concept into a powerful theory. The problems that arise are about verification, the concept of infinity, and several other concepts. Verification issues seem to be solved using mind experiments, which do not require "direct evidence". This multiverse concept needs to be acknowledged still in the form of a theoretical discourse in the scientific community and is still in progress until today.
