INTISARI Peran Keprotoklan Sebagai Salah Satu Sub Divisi Humas dan Protokol Universitas Gadjah Mada Dalam Mengatur Acara Kunjunga SMA Tugas Akhir ini membahas tentang profil dan posisi struktural sub divisi keprotokolan Universitas Gadjah Mada dan peran keprotokolan Universitas Gadjah Mada dalam mengatur acara kunjungan SMA. Hal ini dilatarbelakangi oleh rasa keingintahuan akan cara petugas protokol mengatur proses kunjungan SMA di Universitas Gadjah Mada baik saat persiapan acara, maupun pelaksanaan acara. Informasi diperoleh dari observasi secara langsung maupun tidak langsung dari Kantor Hubungan Masyarakat UGM. Namun demikian, untuk menunjang hasil observasi, dilakukan pula interview dengan beberapa petugas protokol di Kantor Humas dan Keprotokolan di Universitas Gadjah Mada. Tugas Akhir ini juga menggunakan penelitian pustaka untuk mendapatkan data dan informasi mengenai bahan diskusi yang mana diambil dari buku, jurnal, atau article online. Data yang disajikan berupa data kualitatif yang telah dikumpulkan melalui pengamatan dengan bentuk deskripsi pada setiap tahapan prosedur. Dari pengamatan tersebut diketahui bahwa Sub Divisi Keprotokolan berperan penuh dalam mengatur proses kunjungan SMA di Universitas Gadjah Mada, mulai dari proses persiapan yang meliputi; penerimaan permintaan kunjungan, mengatur waktu dan tempat kunjungan, memilih pembicara dalam kunjungan, mengatur penataan tempat untuk acara, hingga pelaksanaan kunjungan dari mulai sampai berakhirnya acara.

ABSTRACT The Role of Protocols Universitas Gadjah Mada as a Sub Division of Public Relations and Protocols in Managing High School's Visit Event This paper aims to discuss the profile of protocols subdivision and its structural position and analyze how the protocol officers manage the process of high school's visit at the Universitas Gadjah Mada from the preparation of the event to the implementation of the event.. The information was obtained from direct and indirect observation in the Public Relations Office of UGM. The writer also conducted a personal interview to several staffs of the Public Relations Office to support the result of the observation as well. This final paper also used library research to obtain the data and information on the subject of discussion which were taken from several books, journals, and online articles. The data is presented in the form of qualitative data that have been compiled through observation with details for each procedure. The study shows that the protocols sub division has full responsibilty in arranging the process of high school's visit at Universitas Gadjah Mada from the preparation process which includes receiving visits requests, arranging time and venue of visit, appointing the speakers during the visit and arranging the layout for the event, to the implementation process of the visit from the beginning to the end of the event.
