Tugas Akhir ini berjudul "Terjemahan Buku Kumpulan Cerita Anak Kyou no Kodomo Asu e no Tobira". Buku tersebut berisi 24 cerita pendek tentang motivasi untuk anak, agar anak-anak berani bercita-cita dan bekerja keras untuk mengejar cita-cita tersebut. Dalam Tugas Akhir ini diterjemahkan empat cerita anak berjudul "Jibuntte Nandarou", "Yuuki. Sore wa Yume no Tobira o Akeru Kagi", "Shougakusei no Koro" dan "Taishi o Idake". Empat cerita di atas dipilih karena mengandung nilai moral yang baik, mengandung motivasi hidup dan mendorong anak agar menggapai cita-citanya. Pesan yang terkandung dalam keempat cerita tersebut juga sangat cocok untuk dipelajari dan diterapkan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari baik oleh anak-anak maupun remaja. Pesan-pesan yang terkandung dari keempat cerita itu antara lain: (1) Hidup itu tidak akan berjalan seperti garis lurus. Karena setiap bertemu dengan orang lain, jalan hidup kita juga akan berubah. (2) Bagaimana pentingnya sebuah keberanian untuk mengambil suatu tindakan dalam hidup. Karena sesederhana apapun suatu tindakan, tindakan tersebut tetap membutuhkan sebuah keberanian. (3) Setiap manusia pasti memiliki sisi kuat dan sisi lemah. Oleh karena itu, kita tidak bisa melihatnya hanya dari satu sisi saja. (4) Gantungkanlah cita-citamu setinggi langit, dan cobalah untuk meraihnya. Salah satu kesulitan dalam mengerjakan Tugas Akhir ini yaitu menerjemahkan kalimat majemuk Bahasa Jepang yang Panjang. Untuk mengatasi kesulitan tersebut, hasil penerjemahan dalam Bahasa Indonesia yang berupa kalimat yang panjang harus diurai menjadi beberapa kalimat pendek agar lebih mudah dipahami.

This final project is entitled "The Translation of Japanese Children's Story Collections Kyou no Kodomo Asu e no Tobira". The collection of children's stories is a book with total of twenty-four stories. From all the stories, there are four children's stories selected and translated into Indonesian language. The four children's stories are titled "Jibuntte Nandarou", "Yuuki. Sore wa Yume no Tobira o Akeru Kagi", "Shougakusei no Koro" and "Taishi o Idake". All the stories in the book, including the four stories, are both teaching materials and motivational stories intended for elementary and junior high school students in Japan. These were chosen because it contains a good moral value, contains life motivation and encourages children to achieve their goals. The messages contained in the four stories are also very suitable to be learned and applied in daily life both by children and adolescents. The message contained in the four stories is: (1) Life will not run like a straight line. Because every time we meet with others, our way of life will also change. (2) How important and precious some courage to take action in life. Even if it�s a simple action, it still requires courage. (3) Every human must have a strong side and a weak side. That�s way, we can�t see it from one side only. (4) Hang your goals as high as the sky and try to achieve them. One of the difficulties in making this final project is translating Japanese long sentence to become Indonesian sentence that can be understood easily. To overcome the difficulties above, sometimes the translation of Japanese long sentence must be parsed into several sentences. This must be done to make the story easily be understood by the readers.
