HISTOPATOLOGI INFECTIOUS BURSAL DISEASE (IBD) PADA AYAM DI BALAI BESAR VETERINER (BBVet) WATES YOGYAKARTA PERIODE TAHUN 2015-2016

Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) merupakan penyakit yang disebabkan oleh virus yang berbentuk icosahedral yang terdiri dari 2 segmen untaian ganda RNA, yang termasuk dalam family Birnaviridae. Tujuan penulisan tugas akhir ini adalah untuk mengetahui perubahan histopatologi penyakit Infectious Bursal Disease berdasarkan data dari Balai Besar Veteriner Wates Yogyakarta peride tahun 2015 hingga 2016. Total sampel masuk untuk pengujian Gumboro selama tahun 2015 sebanyak 370 ekor dengan 14 ekor positif IBD. Total ayam yang masuk selama tahun 2016 sejumlah 4 ekor dan keempatnya positif IBD. Jumlah kejadian IBD di tahun 2015 lebih tinggi dibandingkan tahun 2016, artinya terjadi penurunan kasus IBD. Gejala klinis ayam yang terinfeksi meliputi, ayam sakit dan lemas, dehidrasi, anoreksia, suhu tubuh meningkat, malas bergerak, feses encer keputihan, dan pembengkakan bursa fabrisius.

Infectious Bursal Disease (IBD) is a disease caused by an icosahedral-shaped virus consisting of two segments of the double strands of RNA, which belong to the Birnaviridae family. The purpose of this final paper was to determine the histopathological changes of Infectious Bursal Disease based on data from the Veterinary Main Station of Wates, Yogyakarta in the period of 2015 to 2016. Total sample entrered for testing Gumboro during 2015 as many as 370 samples and there were 14 samples positive of IBD. Total chickens that entered during 2016 as many as 4 samples and the fourth of it were positive IBD. The number of IBD incidents in 2015 is higher than in 2016, which means a decline in the case of IBD. Clinical symptoms of infected chickens include, sick and limp chickens, dehydration, anorexia, increased body temperature, lazy moves, watery thin feces, and swelling of the fabricinal bursa.
