Latar Belakang: Air Susu Ibu (ASI) adalah makanan terbaik bagi bayi karena ASI mengandung zat imunologik yang melindungi bayi dari berbagai infeksi. Kegagalan dalam pemberian ASI disebabkan karena banyak ibu menghentikan menyusui lebih dini. Hal ini dipengaruhi oleh berbagai faktor, salah satunya teknik menyusui yang tidak benar. Teknik menyusui yang benar akan mempengaruhi respon bayi-ibu selama menyusui dan akan meningkatkan keberhasilan menyusui. Salah satu intervensi untuk menunjang keberhasilan proses menyusui dengan menggunakan bantal menyusui. Tujuan: Untuk mengetahui pengaruh penggunaan bantal menyusui terhadap respon ibu-bayi selama menyusui. Metode: Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian pra eksperimental rancangan one group pretest-posttest. Penelitian dilakukan pada tanggal 16 September hingga 18 Januari 2018. Jumlah responden sebanyak 35 ibu menyusui yang memiliki bayi berusia 7-21 hari di wilayah kerja Puskesmas U dan Puskesmas M. Teknik pengambilan sampel penelitian dengan consecutive sampling dengan kriteria inklusi-eksklusi. Pengambilan data menggunakan lembar observasi MBA assesment tools dengan hasil uji persamaan persepsi menggunakan uji Fleis’Kappa sebesar 0,69. Analisis penelitian menggunakan uji wilcoxon. Hasil: Penggunaan bantal menyusui berpengaruh secara bermakna terhadap respon ibu-bayi dengan nilai p value sebesar 0,000 dan terhadap tahapan menyusui yaitu tahapan signaling (p= 0,001), positioning (p= 0,000), fixing (p= 0,003), milk transfer (p= 0,002), dan ending (p= 0,007). Kesimpulan: Diharapkan tenaga kesehatan dapat memberikan informasi terkait manfaat dari penggunaan bantal menyusui dan bagi ibu menyusui dapat memanfaatkan penggunaan bantal menyusui selama proses menyusui berlangsung.

Background: Breast milk is the best source of nutrition for baby since it contains imunologic substance that protect baby from various infections. Failure in breastfeeding usually caused by mothers who stop breastfeed their babies very early. This situation is affected by many factors, one of them is wrong technique of breastfeeding. The right technique will affect mother-baby's response and increase the probability of the success of breastfeeding. A good intervention that can be used to achieve this goal is by using nursing pillow. Purpose: To know the impact of the use of nursing pillow to the mother-baby's response during breastfeeding process. Method: The study used Pre-Experimental Design One Group Pretest-Posttest method. The study started in September 16th 2018 and ended in January 18th 2018. The respondents were 35 breastfeeding mothers who have 7-21 days old babies and live near community health center U and community health center M. In gathering the sample for the research, the researcher used consecutive sampling technique with inclusion-exclusion criterias. The data is gathered using MBA observation sheet assessment toold. The result of the equality of perception's test, which used Fleis Kappa test, is 0,69. Meanwhile, wilcoxon test is used to analyze this research. Result: The use of nursing pillow affects mother-baby's response significantly with p value 0,000. It also affects the breastfeeding stage, which is signaling (p=0,001), positioning (p=0,000), fixing (p=0,003), milk transfer (p=0,002), and ending (p=0,007). Conclusion: Health professionals expected to provide related information regarding benefits of breastfeeding, furthermore breastfeeding mothers allowed to take advantages of the nursing pillow during breastfeeding delivery.
