Typical Indonesian Architectures as the Additional Attraction in Queen of The South Resort

Dalam penulisaan tugas ini membahas tentang arsitektur khas Indonesia di Queen of the South Resort sebagai daya tarik tambahan. Pembahasan tentang arsitektur Indonesia di Queen of the South Resort termasuk daya tarik utama, detail bangunan dan yang membuat hotel ini berbeda dengan kebanyakan hotel di Yogyakarta Pengumpulan data dilakukan selama penulisan magang mulai dari Januari sampai dengan April 2017. Metode pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan pengamatan secara langsung, wawancara pribadi dengan staff yang sudah bekerja paling lama dan mengetahui sejak pertama hotel ini dibangun untuk mendapatkan data yang valid, dan metode terakhir adalah penelitian menggunakan buku- buku dan sumber-sumber dari internet untuk melengkapi informasi secara jelas terkait dengan topik bahasan. Kesimpulanya, sebagai satu-satunya resort di tepi pantai di Yogyakarta, Queen of the South Resort mempunyai kolam renang yang sangat cantik sebagai daya Tarik utamanya. Kolam renang yang cantik ini juga bisa dinikmati oleh tamu hotel yang berunjung tanpa menginap. Keunikan keunikan yang lain didukung oleh gaya bangunan Indonesia yang membuat hotel ini terlihat berbeda dengan hotel- hotel yang ada di Yogyakarta. Arsitektur khas Indonesia di Queen of the South Resort adalah: Arsitektur Bali, Minahasa dan Jawa. Arsitektur Bali paling dominan di Queen of the South Resort sehingga ketika tamu berkunjung ke Queen of the South akan merasakan suasana Bali. Suasana Jawa juga sangat kenta terasa ketka tamu menikmati hidangan di Parang kencana restoran. Arsitektur Minahasa di kamar-kamar tipe Standard membuat arsitektur Indonesia di Queen of the South Resort terasa lengkap.

This graduating paper aims to discuss the profile of Queen of the South Resort and typical Indonesian architectures in Queen of the South Resort as the additional attraction in this hotel. The discussion about architecture in Queen of the South Resort includes the main attraction, building detail and uniqueness of the hotel that distinguishes it from other hotels in Yogyakarta. The data were collected during internship from January to April 2017. The methods of collecting the data are direct observation, personal interview with some senior staff who understand about the hotel since its establishment to gain the valid data about the hotel and the last method is library research from books and internet source in order to complete the information clearly related to the topic. In conclusion, as the only beach resort in Yogyakarta, Queen of the South Resort has an infinity pool as the main attraction for guests when visit this hotel. The infinity pool in Queen of the South can be enjoyed by public guests who visit without staying. The uniqueness of this hotel is also supported by the typical Indonesian style in architecture building which the architectures in this hotel make Queen of the South resort is different from other hotels in Yogyakarta. The typical Indonesian architectures in Queen of the South Resort are: Balinese, Minahasan and Javanese Architecture. Balinese architecture is the most dominant in this hotel so guests can feel Balinese atmosphere when visit. Minahasan architecture can be found at Standard Rooms. It makes Indonesian architecture in this hotel become more complete and also Javanese atmosphere can be enjoyed during guests enjoy their meals in Parang Kencana restaurant.
