Peristiwa Sejarah Jepang dalam Novel Taiko Karya Eiji Yoshikawa

Novel Taiko menceritakan kehidupan Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Toyotomi Hideyoshi adalah salah satu dari tiga pemersatu Jepang dan seorang daimyo terkuat di zaman Azuchi Momoyama. Tujuan penulisan Tugas Akhir ini adalah untuk memaparkan peristiwa sejarah Jepang dalam novel Taiko khususnya sejarah Jepang periode zaman Sengoku dan zaman Azuchi Momoyama. Pada zaman tersebut, di Jepang banyak terjadi peperangan dan terjadi perubahan besar dalam sejarah Jepang karena zaman tersebut merupakan awal dimulainya persatuan seluruh wilayah Jepang. Oda Nonunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi dan Tokugawa Ieyasu adalah tokoh sentral dalam zaman tersebut karena cita-cita mereka dalam menyatukan Jepang. Dalam penulisan Tugas Akhir ini digunakan metode studi pustaka. Data mengenai peristiwa sejarah ditulis dengan cara mengumpulkan data dari novel Taiko. Selanjutnya mengidentifikasi data yang diperoleh tersebut dan melakukan cross-check data dengan bantuan sumber-sumber yang relevan dengan data. Sumber yang digunakan berupa buku, jurnal dan artikel tentang sejarah Jepang. Kemudian langkah terakhir adalah menarik kesimpulan dari hasil cross-check data. Dari pembahasan yang telah dilakukan, terdapat 23 peristiwa sejarah Jepang dalam novel Taiko. Semua peristiwa tersebut adalah peristiwa-peristiwa yang dilalui oleh Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi dan Tokugawa Ieyasu.

Taiko's novel tells the life of Toyotomi Hideyoshi. Toyotomi Hideyoshi is one of the three unifiers of Japan and one of the strongest daimyo of the Azuchi Momoyama period. The purpose of this Final Paper is to describe the events of Japanese history in the Taiko novel, especially the Japanese history of the Sengoku period and the Azuchi Momoyama period. At that time in Japan, there was a lot of war and a major change in the history of Japan because that era is the beginning of the unity of all regions of Japan. Oda Nonunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu were central figures of the era because of their ideas in uniting Japan. In writing of this Final Paper used literature study method. Data on historical events are written by collecting data from Taiko's novel. Next, identify the data obtained and cross-check the data with the help of sources relevant to the data. The sources used are books, journals and articles about Japanese history. Then, the final step is to draw the conclusion results of cross-checking data. From the discussion that has been done, there are 23 events of Japanese history in the Taiko novel. All these events are the events passed by Oda Nobunaga, Toyotomi Hideyoshi and Tokugawa Ieyasu.
