Program Studi Komputer dan Sistem Informasi atau yang lebih dikenal dengan sebutan Komsi merupakan salah satu program studi tingkat diploma tiga di Sekolah Vokasi, Universitas Gadjah Mada. Selama ini, proses penentuan jadwal kelas pengganti di Komsi masih dilakukan secara manual di mana dosen yang akan mengadakan kelas pengganti harus melakukan pengecekan secara manual di akademik. Pengecekan tersebut meliputi ruang dan waktu yang kosong serta tidak bentrok dengan jadwal mengajar dosen yang bersangkutan. Setelah dosen menetapkan waktu dan ruang untuk rencana pengadaan kelas pengganti, maka akademik akan mencatat tanggal beserta ruangan yang telah ditentukan pada sebuah papan tulis. Pencatatan semacam ini tentunya kurang efektif mengingat kelas pengganti dilakukan oleh beberapa kelas yang pada akhirnya tidak menutup kemungkinan terjadinya bentrok jadwal secara tidak sengaja. Berdasarkan permasalahan tersebut, perlu dibangun sebuah sistem untuk mempermudah dosen ketika mengadakan kelas pengganti. Sistem ini bisa menampilkan jadwal kuliah, informasi kehadiran, serta pembuatan kelas pengganti oleh akademik maupun dosen yang bersangkutan. Sistem ini dibangun menggunakan bahasa pemrograman PHP, framework CodeIgniter, serta MySQL sebagai basis datanya. Sistem Informasi Kelas Pengganti Berbasis Web Program Studi KOMSI SV UGM sudah berhasil dikembangkan dan dilakukan uji coba serta layak digunakan. Tujuan dari pembuatan sistem ini yaitu untuk mempermudah akademik maupun dosen saat akan melakukan kelas pengganti serta adanya riwayat kehadiran dari masing-masing dosen.

Komputer dan Sistem Informasi or better known as Komsi is one of the three diploma-level department at the Vocational School, Universitas Gadjah Mada. During this time, the process of determining the replacement class in Komsi is still done manually where the lecturer who will hold the replacement class should check manually to the academic affair. The checking of the schedule including the unused room and time provided which is not clashing with the related or other lecturer. After the lecturer establish the time and room for the replacement class, then the academic affair will record the date and predefined room on a whiteboard. This kind of recording is less effective considering the replacement class is done by several classes which in the end did not close the possibility of clashing schedule by accident. Based on these problems, it is necessary to build a system to help the lecturer holding a replacement class easier. This system can display the course schedule, attendance information, as well as making a replacement class by the academic to the concerned lecturer.The system is built using PHP programming language, CodeIgniter framework, as well as MySQL as its data base. Web-Based Class Replacement Information System in KOMSI SV UGM already successfully developed, tested and feasible to use. The purpose of making this system is to facilitate academic and lecturers in the class replacement process and provide the presence history of each lecturer.
