ANALISIS PENGARUH KECERDASAN EMOSIONAL DAN MOTIVASI INTRINSIK TERHADAP PERILAKU INOVATIF GURU SEKOLAH LUAR BIASA TIPE C

Institusi pendidikan khususnya Sekolah Luar Biasa memerlukan perilaku inovatif dalam menjalankan proses pendidikannya. Peran guru sangat penting dalam memenuhi kebutuhan siswanya yang bermacam-macam. Kecerdasan emosional (EQ) juga berperan dalam menghasilkan perilaku inovatif dalam diri guru. EQ membantu guru untuk memahami siswa, sehingga dapat memenuhi kebutuhan siswa mereka. Motivasi intrinsik berperan langsung dalam menghadirkan perilaku inovatif, dengan cara mendorong seseorang dalam pekerjaannya untuk menganalisis permasalahan dan menawarkan solusinya. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menguji pengaruh kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi intrinsik terhadap perilaku inovatif guru. Pengumpulan data primer dilakukan dengan menggunakan kuesioner. Responden penelitian ini adalah guru SLBN 1 dan SLBN 2 Yogyakarta. Pengujian hipotesis dilakukan dengan menggunakan analisis regresi berganda. Hasil analisis membuktikan bahwa hipotesis-1 dan hipotesis-2 didukung. Hal ini menunjukkan bahwa kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi intrinsik berpengaruh positif dan signifikan pada perilaku inovatif. Implikasi penelitian ini adalah sekolah perlu mengembangkan kecerdasan emosional dan motivasi intrinsik di dalam diri guru, khususnya pada kemampuan untuk memahami emosi orang lain untuk meningkatkan perilaku inovatif. ABSTRACT Special needs educational institutions, or what is known as Sekolah Luar Biasa, needs an implementation of innovative behaviour in its educational process. The role of the teacher is vital in fulfilling the various needs of their students. Emotional intelligence is involved in bringing about innovative behaviour inside of the teachers. Emotional intelligence aids the teacher in understanding their students, thus they could fulfill the needs of their students. Intrinsic motivation is directly involved in bringing forth innovative behaviour, because it drives someone to analyze the problems they find during work and come up with the solutions to those problems. This research aims to examine the effect of emotional intelligence and intrinsic motivation towards the innovative behaviour of teachers. The primary data for this research is collected through questionnaires. The research respondents are the teachers at SLBN 1 and SLBN 2 in Yogyakarta. The testing of the hypotheses are conducted using multiple regression analysis. The result of the analysis proves that hypotheses 1 and 2 are supported. The results show that emotional intelligence and intrinsic motivation positively and significantly affects innovative behaviour. The implication of this research is that schools should develop the emotional intelligence and intrinsic motivation of the teachers, particularly the ability to understand the emotions of others to increase innovative behaviour.
