Kecenderungan Bulimia Nervosa Ditinjau Dari Body Image Pada Mahasiswi

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui hubungan antara body image dan kecenderungan bulimia nervosa pada remaja. Subjek dalam penelitian ini sebanyak 102 mahasiswi dari Fakultas Psikologi Universitas Gadjah Mada. Hipotesis yang diajukan dalam penelitian ini, yaitu terdapat hubungan negatif antara body image dengan kecenderungan bulimia nervosa. Semakin tinggi body image yang dimiliki oleh remaja, maka akan terdapat pula kecenderungan bulimia nervosa. Begitu pula sebaliknya, semakin rendah body image yang dimiliki oleh remaja, maka tidak terdapat kecenderungan bulimia nervosa. Penelitian ini menggunakan Multidemensional Body Self Relation Questionnaire-Appearance Scale (MBSRQ-AS) untuk mengukur body image dan Eating Attitudes Test-26 (EAT-26) untuk mengukur kecenderungan bulimia nervosa. Data dianalisis dengan menggunakan analisis regresi. Hasil analisis regresi menunjukkan bahwa pengaruh body image terhadap kecenderungan bulimia nervosa tidak signifikan (r = 0,033; p = 0,741), artinya body image tidak mempengaruhi adanya bulimia nervosa.

This study aims to determine the relationship between body image and the tendency of bulimia nervosa in adolescents. Subjects in this study as many as 102 students from The Faculty of Psychology Universities Gadjah Mada. Hypothesis proposed in this research, that there is a negative relationship between body image with tendency bulimia nervosa. The higher the body image prossessed by the adolescent, then there will also tendency bulimia nervosa. And vice versa, the lower body image prossessed by adolescent, then there is no tendency bulimia nervosa. This study uses Multidemensional Body Self Relation Questionnaire-Appearance Scale to measure body image and Eating Attitudes Test-26 to measure the bulimia nervosa tendency. The results will be analyzed by using regression analysis. Regression analysis results show that the influence of body image with bulimia nervosa tendency isn't significant (r=0,033; p=0,741), meaning the body image doesn't affect the existence of bulimia nervosa
