PERANCANGAN DATABASE MENGGUNAKAN GOOGLE SUITE UNTUK PENILAIAN PERFORMANCE INDICATOR MATA KULIAH BERSTANDAR ABET (Studi Kasus Mata Kuliah S1 Teknik Industri UGM)

Kebutuhan terhadap database di bidang akademik salah satunya adalah untuk mempermudah pemenuhan syarat akreditasi program studi di universitas. Saat penulisan naskah ini, Teknik Industri UGM sedang dalam proses akreditasi internasional ABET. Dari tahun ke tahun, akreditasi yang terus berkembang membutuhkan database yang juga mudah untuk dikembangkan. Di sisi lain, perkembangan cloud sharing dan cloud storage, salah satunya Google Suite menawarkan potensi untuk menjadi database. Oleh karena itu, penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merancang database menggunakan Google Suite dengan kasus akreditasi ABET di PSTI. Observasi kondisi yang ada saat ini dilakukan untuk mengetahui alur penilaian mata kuliah serta data yang dibutuhkan untuk membangun database. ERD dibangun untuk memetakan entitas dan hubungan antar entitas sesuai dengan hasil pengamatan. Produk G Suite khususnya Google Sheets, Google Docs, dan Google Data Studio digunakan sebagai tool perancangan database. Verifikasi dilakukan dengan membandingkan output nilai performance indicator hasil perhitungan dari Google Sheet dengan output nilai performance indicator dari sistem yang sudah ada pada DTMI web-based course assessment, serta dengan membandingkan hasil relationship antar entitas. Validasi dilakukan melalui beberapa dosen pengajar untuk memastikan output dokumen portofolio dan online report sudah memenuhi kebutuhan assessment ABET. File pertama yang dihasilkan adalah file Google Sheets untuk menyimpan tabel database utama, kedua file Google Sheet sebagai template yang akan diduplikasi dan dikirimkan kepada dosen untuk melakukan perhitungan nilai, dan file Google Sheets ketiga berisi rekap nilai dari seluruh file yang dimiliki dosen-dosen. Selain itu, dihasilkan pula file Google Docs portofolio mata kuliah, RPKPS, JMFT, dan template soal ujian melalui Google App Script. Google Data Studio digunakan untuk menampilkan laporan perkembangan nilai performance indicator mata kuliah setiap tahunnya. Penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa, Google Sheets dan Google Docs dapat digunakan sebagai database dalam kasus akreditasi ABET DTMI. Selain itu, ada potensi pengembangan dengan kolaborasi bersama produkproduk Google yang lain seperti Google Form.

One of the need for database in academic field is to facilitate the fulfillment of the accreditation requirements of the study program at the university. At this writing, Industrial Engineering Universitas Gadjah Mada is in the process of international accreditation of ABET. From year to year, accreditation that continues to grow requires a database that is also easy to develop. On the other hand, the development of cloud sharing and cloud storage, one of which Google Suite, offers the potential to become a database. Therefore, this study aims to design a database using Google Suite for ABET accreditation in PSTI. Observation of the existing condition was done to acquire the course assessment flow and the required data. ERD was built to show entities and its relationships. G Suite especially Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google Data Studio were used as database design tools. Verification was done by comparing the output of performance indicator results calculated from Google Sheet with output performance indicator results from the existing DTMI web-based course assessment system, and by comparing the relationship result among entities. Validation was done through several instructors to ensure the output of portfolio documents and online reports meets the needs of the ABET assessment. The first file has been generated is a Google Sheets file for storing the main data source table, the second is a Google Sheet file as a template that will be duplicated and sent to the instructor to calculate student���¢�¯�¿�½�¯�¿�½s scores, and the third file is a file containing the recapitulation score of all the template file owned by the instructors. In addition, Google App Script dan Google Docs has been used to generate portfolio document, RPKPS, JMFT, and exam template from the database. Google Data Studio has been used to display progress reports on the performance indicator of courses each year. This study shows that Google Sheets, Google Docs, and Google App Script can be used as database for DTMI���¢�¯�¿�½�¯�¿�½s ABET assessment. Also, there is potential for development through collaboration with other Google products such as Google Form.
