MERANCANG LAYOUT TATA RUANG UNTUK EQUIPMENT DI PT. TRAKTOR NUSANTARA

PT. Traktor Nusantara adalah perusahaan distributor dan penjualan alat berat. Dalam menciptakan pelayanan terbaik terhadap customer, pihak dari PT. Traktor Nusantara harus memiliki manajemen yang baik untuk merespon dengan cepat permintaan pembelian unit dari customer. Dengan kondisi lapangan (workshop) PT. Traktor Nusantara saat ini yang tidak rapi menyebabkan ketidaknyamanan dalam hal pelayanan terhadap customer dan kurangnya keselamatan kerja. Untuk itu diperlukan penataan workshop dan evaluasi kinerja pelayanan yang sudah ada sehingga dapat meningkatkan kualitas pelayanan terhadap customer dan meningkatkan keselamatan kerja di workshop PT. Traktor Nusantara. Penelitian yang dilakukan adalah merancang layout tata ruang workshop sesuai dengan kapasitas ruang dan spesifikasi unit forklift yang ada. Penataan unit dikelompokkan sesuai spesifikasi model forklift sehingga akan memudahkan customer dan pekerja dalam beraktifitas di dalam workshop. Selain penaatan ruang, peneliti juga menerapkan budaya 5S untuk meningkatkan keselamatan kerja dan meminimalisir kecelakaan kerja. Hasil dari penelitian tersebut adalah kapasitas penyimpanan unit di workshop meningkat sebesar 28%, dari kapasitas awal 411 unit menjadi 573 unit. Penerapan budaya 5S memberikan kenyamanan dan meningkatkan keselamatan kerja.

PT. Traktor Nusantara is a distributor and heavy equipment sales company. In order to creating the best service to the customer, the PT. Traktor Nusantara must have good management so it can responds any customer�s requests of purchasing unit quickly. With the workshop of the PT. Traktor Nusantara�s condition that managed unproperly leads to inconvenience in terms of customer service and lack of safety for the workers. In order to improve better management of the workshop,it requires the workshop arrangement and evaluation of the existing performance so it can improve the quality of service to customers and improve work safety quality for workers in the workshop of PT. Traktor Nusantara. The research is to redesign the existing layout of the workshop layout according to space capacity and specification of the existing forklift units. Also to manage the units can be done by grouping according to the specification of forklifts so that will facilitate customers and workers activity in the workshop. In addition to space compliance, researchers also apply the 5S culture to improve work safety and minimize work accidents. The result of this study is the storage capacity of the units that are in the workshop increased by 28%, from the initial capacity of 41 units to 573 units. Application of 5S culture provides comfort and improves safety.
