PENGELOLAAN LAHAN PADA TRADISI REPONG DAMAR PESISIR BARAT LAMPUNG DALAM PERSPEKTIF ETIKA EKOSENTRISME

INTISARI Penelitian ini berjudul "Pengelolaan Lahan Pada Tradisi Repong Damar Pesisir Barat Lampung Dalam Perspektif Etika Ekosentrisme". Repong Damar sebagai tradisi mengajarkan bahwa alam sebagai tempat tinggal manusia sudah seharusnya tidak dipandang sebelah mata. Keselarasan dengan mengutamakan prinsip kehidupan harus menjadi hal yang paling utama. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk merumuskan problema yang muncul dari krisis lingkungan hidup, memaparkan inti dari teori etika lingkungan hidup Ekosentrisme, serta merumuskan tinjauan pemikiran teori etika lingkungan hidup Ekosentrisme terhadap proses pengelolaan lahan pada tradisi Repong Damar. Penelitian ini menggunakan model kualitatif bidang filsafat. Data dikumpulkan melalui studi pustaka yang dilengkapi dengan data observasi langsung terhadap proses pengelolaan lahan pada tradisi Repong Damar di Kabupaten Pesisir Barat, Lampung. Bahan penelitian yang berasal dari buku, jurnal, artikel, wawancara dan laporan penelitian yang berkaitan dengan Repong Damar digunakan sebagai bahan pokok. Analisis hasil penelitian ini menggunakan reduksi data, klasifikasi, display data, interpretasi dan pengambilan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan solusi alternatif dalam krisis lingkungan hidup ini hanya bisa diatasi dengan melakukan perubahan pola pikir manusia terhadap alam semesta secara fundamental dan radikal, yakni dalam wujud pengamalan konsep etika didalam local wisdom. Repong Damar sebagai wujud kearifan lokalnya yang dimiliki oleh masyarakat Pesisir Barat Lampung merupakan satu dari wujud solusi paling tepat untuk mengatasi segala kekrisisan tersebut. Didalamnya diyakini menyimpan begitu banyak konsep-konsep etika yang dapat merubah cara pandang dan prilaku negatif manusia terhadap alam. Ekosentrisme melalui deep ecology memiliki konsep yang kaya berupa prinsip dan platform yang dapat dijadikan hasil analisis dalam mengubah pola pikir manusia seperti dalam tradisi Repong Damar yang sangat peduli terhadap lingkungan hidup untuk menciptakan kehidupan yang selaras dan berkesinambungan dengan alam. ABSTRACT This research entitled "Land Management in West Coastal Lampung's Repong Damar Tradition in terms of Ecocentrism". Repong Damar as a tradition teaches that nature as mankind's in habitation should not be under valued. Harmony through prioritizing life principles is the most important thing. This research aims to formulate the problems emerging from the environmental crisis, expound the core of environmental ethics theory in Ecocentrism, and formulate an overview of the ethical theory of environmental theory in Ecocentrism to the process of land management in the tradition of Repong Damar. This research uses the qualitative model of the field of philosophy. The data were collected through literature study which was accompanied by direct observation of the land management process in Repong Damar tradition in West Coastal District, Lampung. Research materials from books, journals, articles, interviews and research reports concerning Repong Damar are used as the main material. The analysis of this study uses data reduction, classification, data display, interpretation and conclusion. The results show that alternative solutions in this environmental crisis can only be over come by making fundamental and radical changes in the human mindset of the universe, namely in the form of the practice of the concept of ethics in local wisdom. Repong Damar as a form of local wisdom retained by the West Coastal Lampung is one of the most appropriate form of solution to overcome all these crises. It is believed that it contains many ethical concepts that can change the way people view as well as their negative behavior towards nature. Ecocentrism through deep ecology has a rich concept of principles and platforms that can be used as a result of analysis in changing the human mindset as in the Repong Damar tradition that is very concerned about the environment to create a harmonious and sustainable life with nature.
