MOTIVASI PETANI PADA PENERAPAN SISTEM JAJAR LEGOWO LAHAN PADI SAWAH DI KECAMATAN NANGGULAN KABUPATEN KULON PROGO

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui tingkat motivasi petani dalam penerapan sistem tanam jajar legowo dan faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhinya, serta untuk mengetahui faktor-faktor yang mempengaruhi penerapan sistem tanam jajar legowo di Kecamatan Nanggulan, Kabupaten Kulon Progo. Metode yang digunakan adalah deskriptif analisis dengan teknik survei. Pengambilan sampel desa dilakukan secara purposif, dan diperoleh Desa Wijimulyo dan Desa Donomulyo sebagai sampel. Dari masing-masing sampel desa, diambil 2 sampel kelompok tani secara acak sederhana sehingga diperoleh 4 sampel kelompok tani. Dari masing-masing sampel kelompok tani, diambil 15 sampel anggota secara acak sederhana sehingga diperoleh 60 sampel petani sebagai responden. Metode analisis yang digunakan adalah uji proporsi dan analisis linier berganda. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa motivasi petani dalam penerapan sistem tanam jajar legowo tergolong tinggi, yaitu sebesar 76,84%. Peran penyuluh berpengaruh positif terhadap motivasi petani, sedangkan luas lahan dan pendidikan petani berpengaruh negatif terhadap motivasi petani. Umur petani, persepsi, dan peran kelompok tani tidak mempengaruhi motivasi petani. Motivasi dan peran kelompok tani berpengaruh positif terhadap penerapan sistem tanam jajar legowo, sedangkan umur petani, pendidikan petani, luas lahan, persepsi, dan peran penyuluh tidak berpengaruh terhadap penerapan sistem tanam jajar legowo di Kecamatan Nanggulan, Kabupaten Kulon Progo.

This study aims to determine the level of motivation of farmers in the application of "jajar legowo" rice cultivation system and the factors that influence it, and to determine the factors that affect the application of "jajar legowo"rice cultivation system in the District of Nanggulan, Kulon Progo Regency. The method used in this research was descriptive analysis with survey technique. The Villages sampled by purposive sampling method are Wijimulyo Village and Donomulyo Village. From each village, two farmer group samples were taken by simple random sampling so that four samples of farmer group were obtained. From each farmer groups, 15 sample members were taken by simple random sampling and obtained 60 samples of farmers as respondents. Data were analyzed by proportion test and multiple linear regression test. The results showed that the motivation of farmers in the application of �jajar legowo� rice cultivation system included in the high category that is 76,84%. The role of agricultural extension officers in agriculture positively affects the motivation of farmers, while farm size and educational background negatively affect the motivation of farmers. Age, perception, and the rule of farmer groups do not affect the motivation of farmers. The motivation and role of farmer group have a positive effect on the application of �jajar legowo� rice cultivation system, whereas age, educational background, farm size, perception, and role of agricultural extension do not affect the application of �jajar legowo� rice cultivation system in District of Nanggulan, Kulon Progo Regency.
