Humas merupakan bagian dalam organiasi yang menjadi penghubung, dengan komponen lain baik dalam ruang lingkup organisasi yang berbeda divisi ataupun di luar lingkup organisasi. Humas Kemendagri sebagai representasi dari Kementerian Dalam Negeri memiliki kewajiban untuk menyampaikan informasi dan juga mendokumentasi kegiatan yang terkait dengan Kementerian Dalam Negeri. Hasil dokumentasi menghasilkan informasi yang akan disampaikan ke masyarakat dan seluruh komponen Kementerian Dalam Negeri melalui website resmi Kementerian Dalam Negeri.
