PENERAPAN LOAD BALANCE PADA APLIKASI DIARIUM PT. TELKOM INDONESIA

2017 | Tesis | S2 Ilmu KomputerPT. Telkom Indonesia dalam meningkatkan pelayanan komunikasi antar karyawan telah menggunakan aplikasi diarium sejak Februari 2016. Layanan aplikasi diarium ini antara lain sosial media karyawan dan presensi online. Jumlah transaksi data diarium meningkat setiap bulan akibat dari peningkatan jumlah request transaksi ke server diarium. Saat ini aplikasi masih menggunakan arsitektur server tunggal, sehingga seiring pertumbuhan jumlah pengguna aplikasi reponse time menjadi lebih lama. Penelitian ini mengkaji arsitektur aplikasi menggunakan load balancing dengan metode round robin dan least connection. Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa setelah diterapkan load balancing dapat memperkecil response time sampai 0,25 kali dengan menggunakan least connection dan 0,32 kali menggunakan round robin. Kemudian nilai throughput meningkat 1,37 kali pengiriman data dan 1,3 kali saat penerimaan data menggunakan least connection sedangkan menggunakan round robin nilai throughput meningkat 1,28 kali saat pengiriman data dan 1,21 kali saat penerimaan data.
PT Telkom Indonesia in proving communication services between employees has been used Diarium application since February 2016. This Diarium application services include employess social media and online presence. The number of diarium transaction data was increasing every month because of the increasing request transaction to the diarium server. Nowdays, this application still using single server architecture, so as the increasing number of user application, the response time is longer. This research was reviewing architecture of application using load balancing by round robin method and least connection method. The result show that after applying load balancing, it can reduce response time up to 0,25 times using least connection and up to 0,32 times by using round robin. And the throughput values was increasing up to 1,37 times when transmission data and 1,3 times when receive data using least connection. While when its use round robin, the throughput value was increase up tp 1,28 times when transmission data and 1,21 times when receive data.
