KASUS KEKERASAN DALAM PENDIDIKAN MENURUT PERSPEKTIF JOHAN GALTUNG

Kasus kekerasan dalam pendidikan terjadi tentu bukanlah hal yang tanpa makna. Kekerasan sering diartikan sebagai adanya ketimpangan struktur. Ketimpangan struktur itu tersebutlah juga yang menjadi faktor dari terciptanya kekerasan, tak terkecuali dalam pendidikan. Melalui penelitian ini, peneliti bertujuan untuk melihat apa saja akar dan bagaimana kasus kekerasan bisa terjadi dalam dunia pendidikan menggunakan pemikiran Johan Galtung. Konsep kekerasan menurut Johan Galtung, yakni kekerasan langsung, kekerasan struktural dan kekerasan kultural cukup komprehensif untuk melihat kekerasan di semua tingkatan, termasuk kekerasan dalam pendidikan. Penelitian ini menggunakan model penelitian historis faktual mengenai tokoh. Objek material penelitian ini adalah kasus kekerasan khususnya dalam pendidikan di Indonesia. Sementara objek formal dari penelitian ini adalah pemikiran-pemikiran pokok dari Johan Galtung. Adapun penelitian ini merupakan studi pustaka yang mengikuti beberapa tahapan yaitu inventarisasi, klasifikasi, analisis dan penyusunan penelitian. Selanjutnya data yang diperoleh ditinjau secara filosofis melalui pemikiran Johan Galtung dan dianalisa melalui unsur metodis sebagai berikut; interpretasi, koherensi intern, kesinambungan historis dan heuristik. Hasil penelitian ini menunjukkan bahwa kasus kekerasan dalam pendidikan adalah kekerasan adalah krisis yang terbentuk karena adanya ketimpangan struktur yang ada di dalam masyarakat. Sebagai solusi, pendidikan perdamaian hadir sebagai upaya untuk mengurangi kekerasan tersebut.

This research uses a factual historical research model on the characters. Material object of this research is case of violence especially in education in Indonesia. While the formal object of this research is the basic ideas of Johan Galtung. The study is a literature study that follows several stages of inventory, classification, analysis and research preparation. Further data obtained are reviewed philosophically through Johan Galtung's thought and analyzed through the following methodical elements; interpretation, internal coherence, historical and heuristic continuity. The results of this study indicate that cases of violence in education is violence is a crisis that is formed due to the inequality of existing structures in society. As a solution, peace education exists as an effort to reduce the violence.
