Pengelolaan koperasi tidak terlepas dari tujuh prinsip utama Koperasi yakni: Keanggotaan bersifat sukarela dan terbuka, Pengelolaan dilakukan secara demokratis, Pembagian sisa hasil usaha dilakukan secara adil sebanding dengan besarnya jasa usaha anggota, Pemberian balas jasa yang terbatas, Kemandirian, Pendidikan Koperasi dan Kerjasama antar koperasi. Koperasi "Kopma UGM" sebagai salah satu koperasi yang telah berkiprah selama 35 tahun menjadi contoh sukses dari eksistensi koperasi mahasiswa di Indonesia dengan berbagai ketercapaian prestasi dibanyak lini. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan mencari proyeksi dari perkembangan pengelolaan 35 tahun Koperasi "Kopma UGM". Penelitian ini menggunakan metodologi Kualitatif dengan metode studi kasus. Pendekatan teori Sosiologi Organisasi yang menekankan pada kerjasama antara Aktor dan Sistem. Pendekatan Siklus Organisasi menjadi landasan dalam cara berfikir didalam penelitian ini sekaligus sebagai suatu proses dinamika organisasi. Siklus organisasi dan kerjasama aktor dengan sistem sebagai kunci dalam mengelola organisasi menjadi analisis utama dalam penelitian ini. Temuan penelitian ini pertama, bahwa dinamika Kopma UGM dimulai dari awal pendirian, kemudian bertemu Critical point pada pembangunan gedung H7 berlanjut dengan krisis organisasi pertama pada kejadian H7 Enterprise, krisis kedua pada momen PPN 2016 serta didalam dinamika ini penanganan krisis dilakukan dengan skema rapat anggota. Kedua, faktor internal organisasi maupun kampus serta faktor eksternal berupa kebijakan pemerintah menjadi hal utama yang mempengaruhi dinamika organisasi. Ketiga, Dinamika Kopma UGM dalam hal transforming cycle nya berjalan dengan cepat sebab secara keseluruhan unsur didalam Kopma UGM telah memiliki komitmen bersama untuk berbenah diri, dan hal ini berkebalikan dengan performing cycle yang terkesan lebih lama. Temuan terakhir bahwa kerjasama aktor dan sistem menjadi hal utama dalam dinamika sekaligus sebagai syarat utama menuju sukses organisasi.

Cooperative management is inseparable from the seven cooperative principles: voluntary and open membership, democratic management, the result of business activity made fairly proportional, the granting of limited profit. Independence and autonomus, cooperative eduacation and cooperation bertween cooperative. Cooperative "Kopma UGM" as one of the cooperatives have been engaged for the past 35 years into a successful example of the existence of cooperatives in Indonesia with many achievement. This research aims to describe an find the projection from 35 years of Cooperative "Kopma UGM" management. This research uses Qualitative methodology with case studies. Approach to the theory of Sociology of Organizations that highlight the cooperation between the actors and the Set System. Cycle approach of the Organization became a cornerstone in the way of thinking in this research as well as a process of ups and downs of the organization. The cycle of the Organization and cooperation of actors with the system as key in managing the Organization became the main knives in this research. The main findings of this study: first, that the dynamics of the Kopma UGM starting from his establishment, then meet Critical point and meet the Organization's first crisis on H7 Enterprise, a second crisis in 2016 as well as Tax Moment. In the moment of the dynamics of this crisis handling is carried out by the scheme member meeting. Second, the internal factors of the organization as well as the campus as well as the external factors in the form of Government policy being the main thing affecting the dynamics of the organization. Third, the dynamics of the Kopma UGM in terms of transforming his cycle runs quickly because elements in the whole Kopma UGM has a commitment to settled themselves, and this is in contrast to performing cycle that impressed a lot longer. The last findings that cooperation of the actors and the system becomes the primary thing in Dynamics as well as the main requirement to success of the organization.
