Efisiensi Protein dan Energi Pakan Ayam Broiler yang Mendapatkan Pakan dengan Suplementasi Tambahan Pakan Komersial pada Air Minumnya

2018 | Skripsi | S1 ILMU DAN INDUSTRI PETERNAKANPenelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh tambahan pakan campuran Bio Maxter dalam air minum terhadap efisiensi penggunaan protein dan energi ayam broiler. Penelitian telah dilaksanakan di kandang Laboratorium Ilmu Makanan Ternak Fakultas Peternakan Universitas Gadjah Mada menggunakan 100 ekor ayam broiler strain New Lohmann MB 202, yang terdiri dari 50 ekor jantan dan 50 ekor betina. Tambahan pakan campuran Bio Maxter yang digunakan merupakan campuran asam organik, probiotik, prebiotik, fitobiotik, minyak esensial, makro nutrien, dan campuran vitamin-mineral. Pakan basal yang diberikan berupa pakan komersial Broiler I dengan kandungan protein kasar minimal 21% dan energi termetabolis 2950-3050 kcal/kg. Data yang diperoleh selanjutnya dianalisis statistik menggunakan analisis variansi Completely Randomized Design dengan pola faktorial (2x2) yaitu 2 jenis kelamin (jantan dan betina) serta 2 perlakuan (tanpa tambahan pakan campuran dan diberi tambahan pakan campuran). Perlakuan pakan yang diberikan berupa pemberian air minum tanpa tambahan pakan campuran (FA-0) dan air minum dengan tambahan pakan campuran Bio Maxter sebanyak 0,2% v/v (FA-1). Perlakuan air minum diberikan pada ayam broiler jantan dan betina pada kandang yang berbeda. Setiap perlakuan diberikan replikasi 5 kali, masing-masing diberikan 5 ekor ayam per kandang replikasi. Parameter yang diamati meliputi: konsumsi air minum, konsumsi protein, konsumsi energi, rasio efisiensi protein, dan rasio efisiensi energi. Hasil analisis statistik menunjukkan bahwa tambahan pakan campuran Bio Maxter dengan dosis 2 ml/l tidak mempengaruhi konsumsi protein, konsumsi energi dan efisiensi energi, namun menaikkan efisiensi protein (P<0,05). Ayam jantan memiliki nilai konsumsi (P<0,05) serta efisiensi protein dan energi yang lebih tinggi dibandingkan ayam betina (P<0,05). Uji lanjut statistik tidak mendeteksi adanya interaksi di antara kedua faktor yang diteliti pada parameter konsumsi dan efisiensi penggunaan protein dan energi.
This study was aimed to invesigate the effects of dietary supplementation with commercial feed additives Bio Maxter on protein and energy efficiency in broiler chickens. This study was carried out at the Laboratory of Animal Nutrition, Faculty of Animal Science Universitas Gadjah Mada using 100 broiler chickens strain New Lohmann MB 202, consisted of 50 males and 50 females. Bio Maxter was a mixture of feed additives, that composed of organic acids, probiotics, prebiotics, phytobiotics, essential oils, macro nutrients, and vitamin-mineral. The basal diet was commercial feed Broiler I that contained minimal 21% crude protein and 2950 to 3050 kcal/kg kcal/kg metabolizable energy. Data obtained in this study were statistically analyzed using Completely Randomized Design with factorial (2x2) arrengement that was 2 sex (male and female) and 2 treatment (without addition of feed additive and added feed additive). The dietary treatment was given via drinking water without feed additives (FA-0) and with 0.2% v/v feed additives Bio Maxter supplementation (FA-1). Both treatments were given to male and female birds in different cages. Each treatment was given with 5 replication and 5 birds in each replicate pen. Variables observed in current study were: water intake, protein intake, energy intake, protein efficiency ratio, and energy efficiency ratio. Results showed that supplementation of feed additives Bio Maxter at the rate of 2 ml/l did not influence protein intake, energy intake, and energy efficiency, but increased protein efficiency ratio (P<0.05). The male birds has higher values of energy and protein consumption (P<0.05) and efficiency (P<0.05) than those of female birds (P<0.05). There was no interaction shown in this study between both factors on consumption or on efficiency of protein and energy.
