Pengaruh Penambahan Mineral Premix Enriched with Essential Oil (Premix Booster) pada Ransum Terhadap Hematologi dan Biokimia Darah Pedet Brahman Cross pada Pra dan Pasca Transportasi

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh penambahan mineral premix enriched with essential oil (premix booster) yang ditambahkan pada ransum terhadap hematologi dan biokimia darah pedet sapi Brahman Cross pada pra dan pasca transportasi. Penelitian menggunakan 24 pedet yang terbagi dalam dua kelompok, yaitu kelompok tanpa penambahan premix booster (kontrol) dan kelompok dengan penambahan premix booster (treatment). Parameter yang diamati dalam penelitian terdiri dari hematologi dan biokimia darah. Hematologi darah meliputi hemoglobin, hematokrit, leukosit, eritrosit, mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), neutrofil, dan limfosit. Biokimia darah meliputi kalsium, fosfat, asam urat, total protein, dan albumin. Data dianalisis menggunakan metode Rancangan Blok Acak Lengkap (Randomized Complete Block Design). Indikasi perbedaan yang nyata didasarkan pada probabilitas (P<0,05). Parameter yang berbeda nyata kemudian dilakukan uji dengan analisis variansi pola searah (ANOVA) dan beda rerata diuji dengan Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pedet Brahman Cross yang diberi penambahan premix booster tidak berpengaruh nyata terhadap parameter hematologi dan biokimia darah pada periode transportasi dan recovery.

This study was aimed to determine the effect mineral premix enriched with essential oil (premix booster) in rations on hematology and blood biochemistry Brahman Cross calves on pre and post transportation. This study used 24 calf divided into two group : groups without the addition of premix booster (control) and the group with the addition of premix booster (treatment). The parameters observed in the study consisted of hematology and blood biochemistry. Blood hematology includes hemoglobin, hematocrit, leucocytes, erythrocytes, mean corpuscular volume (MCV), mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH), mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC), neutrophils, and lymphocytes. Blood biochemistry includes calcium, uric acid, phosphate, total protein, and albumin. The data were analyzed using the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) method. The significant indications are based on probability (P <0.05). The significant parameters were analyzed one way design (ANOVA) and difference between mean was tested using Duncans Multiple Range Test (DMRT). The results showed that Brahman Cross calves with premix booster addition had no significant effect on hematology and biochemistry blood parameters during transportation and recovery period.
