THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN WORK-FAMILY BALANCE AND SELF-EMPLOYMENT INTEREST AMONG SELF-EMPLOYED WOMEN

The current study aims to find out the correlation between work-family balance and self-employment interest. Self-employment scale developed by the researcher was used to measure self-employment interest while Work-family Balance scale was used to measure work-family balance. Data were collected from 75 self-employed women with several of occupational types, with an age range from 25 – 37 years old. Reliability test with Alpha Cronbach indicates reliable value of 0,865 for the self-employment scale and 0,907 for the work-family balance scale. The research hypothesis is there is a correlation between work-family balance and self-employment interest among self-employed women. Product moment correlation analysis was used to analyze the data.
