HUBUNGAN TOLERANSI TERHADAP AMBIGUITAS DENGAN KECENDERUNGAN PENGAMBILAN RISIKO PADA MAHASISWA S1 UNI

People faces risk and ambiguity in daily life, but there is a confusion about the concept of ambiguity and risk because both of them contains uncertainty. The aims of the study was to examine the relationship between tolerance of ambiguity and risk taking propensity. Data were collected from 163 students of Undergraduate students of Gadjah Mada University, Yogyakarta. Instruments for data collection were Risk Taking Propensity Scale (DOSPERT) and Tolerance of Ambiguity Scale (MSTAT). The Pearson Product-Moment Correlation were used to analyze the data. Result showed that tolerance of ambiguity very significantly positively correlated with risk taking propensity (p< 0,01). The alpha coefficient results r= 0,543. It is described that the higher of tolerance of ambiguity, the higher in risk taking propensity, whereas the higher of tolerance of ambiguity, the higher in risk taking propensity.
