TEACHERS IN SWEDEN AND INDONESIA: CORELATION AND COMPARISSON OF SALARY AND HAPPINESS

2012 | Skripsi |This study aims to determine whether there is a relationship between salaries and the happiness which is owned by the teacher both in Sweden and Indonesia. In addition, this study also would determine whether there were differences on Happiness between teachers in Sweden and Indonesia. The respondents of this study were teachers in Sweden and Indonesia. Swedish teachers consisted of 12 males and 34 females with an average age of 43 years old while teachers Indonesia consists of 49 males and 108 females with an average age of 44 years old. The sampling method used was non-probability sampling within incidental-sampling technique. The questionnaires were spread within Subjective Happiness scale by Lyubomirsky which consist of 4-itmes were used for measurement. The test showed that this scale is reliable with a Cronbach Alphameasurement (α= 0.814) for Swedish subjects and (α= 0.704) for Indonesian subjects.
