This study was aimed to analyze the correlation between self-acceptance and achievement motivation among teenagers in orphanage. Hypothesis of this research is self-acceptance has a positive correlation with achievement motivation among teenagers in orphanage. The higher self-acceptance, then the higher achievement motivation. Contrastly, the lower self-acceptance, the lower achievement motivation. The subject of this study is 75 teenagers (N = 75) in Muhammadiyah Orphanage and Aisyiyah Orphanage Yogyakarta, whose age ranged from 13 to 18 years old. Achievement motivation is measured by achievement motivation scale and self-acceptance is measured by self-acceptance scale. Achievement motivation scale consists of 42 aitems and self-acceptance scale consists of 31 aitems after passed the process of validity and reliability. Data was analyzed by using Pearson’s product moment. Result shows that there is positive correlation between self-acceptance and achievement motivation (r = 0.457; p = 0.000). Pearson’s product moment anlysis indicates that the research hypothesis can be accepted. The coefficient of determination obtained is 0.209. It implies that the total contribution of self-acceptance is 20,9 % and the rest is the contribution of other variables by 79,1 %.
