HUBUNGAN ANTARA KEPEKAAN TERHADAP HUMOR DAN KECERDASAN EMOSI PADA ANGGOTA POLISI DI DIREKTORAT SAM

The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between sense of humor and emotional intelligence at police officer who works at Direktorat Samapta POLDA DIY. The hypothesis tested was a positive correlation between sense of humor and emotional intelligence. The subject of this research were 66 male police officer from Dit. Samapta, who were between 19-28 years old and not armed with gun in their daily task. Two questionnaire were applied to messure sense of humor and emotional intelligence. The correlation techniques of Product Moment by Pearson was used for data analyze. The result indicates the significant positive correlation between sense of humor and emotional intelligence (r= 0,271 ; p= 0,028). This result shows that the research hypothesis can be accepted. The determination of coeficient is 0,073 indicated that sense of humor gives 7,3 % contribution for emotional intelligence.
