Attitudes, beliefs, or negative actions against homosexuals is called homophobia. Homophobia arises because a lack of empathy toward homosexuals. Empathy is an important component to increase positive attitudes toward homosexuals. This research was conducted to determine the relationship of empathy toward homosexual and homophobic. 110 respondents from the Faculty of Psychology, University of Gadjah Mada (UGM) fill homophobia scale and empathy toward homosexuals scale.
