The aim of this study was to know the adjustment dinamic and what factors influence the dinamic of spinal cord injury’s spouse. Three subjects with certain characteristics were participate in this study. This study was using qualitative study with phenomenological approach. Researcher conducted interviews and observations to each subject in collecting data. Data was analyzed with Stevick-Colaizzi-Keen Method of Analysis of Phenomenological Data modified by C. Moustakas. The results showed that all subject have to always prepare them selves to make a new adjustment towards the condition changes of their spouse and the consequences of the coping strategies their choose. At this moment, negative emotion and pesimism about the future are still common experiences among them. But in the other side, they also have hope and willingnes to be responsible for their roles in the family. Personal characteristic, past experiences, skills, social support (including family and the other spouse), spouse with SCI condition, and religiousity held by subject influenced the dynamic of adjustment.
