Justice is a fundamental feature of human life. The issues of justice have been of importance since conceptual and empirical aspects of it have not been agreed on what the systems of justice should be. On the other hand, psychological studies have shown convincingly that when people experienced just or unjust events it would affect subsequent measures such as satisfaction, resentment and protest. This study was designed to find the empirical data of justice matters, to find the model of perceived justice especially the relations between procedural and distributive justice, and to describe the relations between objective and perceived justice. To address such goals, the author conducted three studies: case study, survey, and scenario study. The findings of case study show that justice matters in horizontal as well as vertical social relations. Unjust occurs because it is culturally, structurally, and personally constructed. From the survey the author found a general model of perceived justice called relational-dominated justice model. In this model enacted interpersonal treatment or interactional justice has greater influence to procedural justice and distributive justice than other antecedents. The effect of procedural justice toward distributive justice is greater than the reverse while these justices contribute significantly to satisfaction. In the scenario study it is shown, again, that the effect of procedural justice toward distributive justice is greater than the reverse. The author also found that heuristic judgment did not fully appear when relational model of justice was introduced and become the applied system. The findings of survey and scenario studies suggest that the group-value model of justice is applicable. However, the self-interest model of justice exists when people were less satisfied. In the later model the role of distributive justice is more important than it is in the group value model.
