Parents’ behaviour is one of protective factors to reduce gifted students’ anxiety. Gifted student in this research is the one who has highly achievement in Maths. Parents’ emphatic communication will give a big impact for managing their children anxiety. The aim of this study was to improve parents’ emphatic communication to their children. Participants of this study were 5 parents of students who have highly achievement in Maths; age range between 11 to 12 years old; and were reported have anxiety symptoms. Assessment were done with interview, Parents’ Behaviours Scale, and CBCL. After recieved 8 session of “Program Orangtua Empatik” training, participants showed the improvement of parents’ emphatic communication, but the effects were not maintained at 3-month follow up.
