MENGURANGI AGRESIVITAS ANAK USIA DINI DENGAN METODE TIME-OUT

Agrression is a common behavior on early childhood. When there was a right intervention, aggressive behavior on adolescence and adult ages could be prevented. The objectives of this study was to examine whether a Time Out method could reduce aggressive behavior on early childhood ages. This study was a quasi experiment with single case experimental design by A -B-C-B and follow up cycle. The subject of this study was four to six years old kindergarten pupils. Four kindergarten boys used to be the respondents. Since there was just two boys who got a Time Out, so there was two boys that was analyzed in this study. Time Out was given for subject who showed aggressive behavior repeatedly to his friend although there was a notification from teacher. There was a training about Time Out for the teacher before. This was 105 days study. Fourteen days was the research preparation and 91 days was the research process. The result showed that Time Out method could not reduce aggressive behavior permantently. The data was analyzed qualitatively by Visual Analysis and Graphic Display. This research showed that Time Out could not reduce agrresive behaviour.
