The purpose of this research is to explore about abortion decision making in adolescent aged 18-21 years old. This reasearch explores the process and interpersonal relationship with significant others that influence the abortion decision making in adolescent with unwanted pregnancy, especially interpersonal relationship with parents. Respondents that were used in this research are 3 adolescents who had an abortion. Data was collected through observation and in-dept interview. The result shows that interpersonal relationship with parents influences abortion decision making either directly or indirectly. The economic reasons and dependence on parents become the main background abortion decision making in adolescent with unwanted pregnancy. Drive to maintain self-image bigger than moral beliefs, so abortion decion making in adolescent with unwanted pregnancy easily retrieved. Interpersonal relationship with friends and lover supported abortion decision making either emotionally and physically. Keyword: abortion, interpersonal relationship
