Abstract Patients’ aggression influenced the mental health of psychiatric nurses. Mental health of psychiatric nurses was an important part in the process of rehabilitation of patients . The aspects of mental health of psychiatric nurses had emotional aspects, psychological functions, and social functions. Psychological skills training in dealing with patients’ aggression in this study were self-knowledge, self-acceptance, self-talk, emotion management, and therapeutic communication. This study aimed to examine the influence of psychological skills training in dealing with patients’ aggression to improve mental health of psychiatric nurses. Thirty nurses ( 15 in the experimental group and 15 in the control group) participated in this quasi -experimental study. Analysis of data used a mix ed Anova.
