2010 | Tesis |Family and work are two important domain that can not be separated from the lives of women with dual role. In this study, work-family studies focused on the characteristics of each domain and job satisfaction and family as the output. Women's perception of gender roles in the family and the level of autonomy in her work and the balance in the running work and family roles assumed to have an influence on satisfaction in each domain. Therefore, this research aims to examine the relationship work autonomy, gender role oriented in family and work-family balance to job satisfaction and family satisfaction in women with dual role. Respondents of this research was 108 women who had married and working in the formal sector. Data collection methods that is used in this study is a scale and processed by using path analysis. Based on the analysis found that job autonomy and egalitarian gender role orientation together to have a positive relationship with work-family balance. The effective contribution of work autonomy and egalitarian gender role orientation is about 8.9%. The results of path analysis also found that there is a positive relationship between egalitarian gender role orientation with family satisfaction through work-family balance, with the effective contribution is 18.9%. While the relationship between job autonomy, job satisfaction showed no significant correlation, directly nor indirectly or through a work-family balance as mediation variable.
