Environmental awareness of the flood is, increased insight into the person or group about the floods that occur in attitudes and behavior to support the development of the environment and saving the environment. This study aims to determine the role of GIS output and community empowerment through video community in increasing environmental awareness of flooding. Participant study is 60 subjects aged 14-17 years is representative of students from 10 high schools in the Sintang and resides in the Kapuas and Melawi river. Research approach using an action research approach, measurement using a environmental awareness scale and measuring two aspects are attitudes and willingness / intentions and carried out before and after the video workshop on community control group and experimental groups. t-Test Results at pretest showed equivalence between the control and experimental groups (attitude 0.233
